Each player will need their own individual color.
Instructions
• Player 1 rolls the 2 dice and uses the two numbers to make a proper fraction (where the numerator is less the denominator) or a fraction whose value is one (where the numerator and the denominator are the same) .
• Player 1 then chooses an equivalent fraction on the board to the fraction they have rolled and covers the square with a counter. If no equivalent fraction is available, then no counter can be placed.
• Player 2 then rolls the dice, makes a proper fraction and covers up an equivalent fraction on the board.
• Play is repeated until one of the players gets 4 counters in a row (horizontal, vertical or diagonal) . The first player to do this is the winner.
Variations
• Alternative winning rule: the first player to place all their 15 counters is the winner.
• If playing the game with 3 players, then only 3 counters in a row is needed to win the game.
Example of Play
• Player 1 rolls a 3 and a 4, making the fraction 4. They cover up the equivalent fraction 12 on the board
• Player 2 rolls a 3 and a 3. They cover up the equivalent fraction 110 on the board.
• Player 1 rolls a 1 and a 6. They cover up the equivalent fraction 18 on the board.
• Player 2 rolls a 4 and a 6. They cover up the equivalent fraction 3 on the board.
FRACTION Match
Roll 2 dice to get your numerator and denominator, then match
the fractions!
| 2
4 | 6
8 | 4
10 | 6
9 | | 3
4 | | 5
5 |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| 8
10 | 4
6 | 5
10 | | | 1
3 | | 3
12 |
| 5
15 | 1
2 | 10
12 | 3
18 | | 9
15 | | 4
12 |
| 4
16 | 3
9 | 2
12 | | | 15
18 | | 10
30 |
| 1
4 | 8
16 | 6
15 | 4
8 | | 2
6 | | 8
12 |
| 9
12 | 10
15 | 2
10 | 3
6 | | 4
16 | | 8
10 |
| 2
3 | 8
12 | 12
15 | 5
20 | | 10
10 | | 3
15 |","cbCaijssQPNBiBg6","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCaijssQPNBiBg6","pdf",184177,"English","# Instructions
## Variations
## Example of Play
## Fraction Board","[{"question":"How do players form fractions during Fraction Match?","answer":"Each turn a player rolls 2 dice and uses the two numbers as the numerator and denominator.
