Whenever the table mentions the caster it refers to the creature that caused the surge. If a target is mentioned it refers to the target of the spell that the caster was casting. Therefore a creature could potentially be both the target and the caster. If there are multiple targets, the DM can choose to apply the surge to all the targets or randomly choose only one, whatever is more fitting.\u003Cbr>HOW TO ROLL A D 1000 |\n\nTo roll a d1000 you can follow the same rules as rolling a d100 but adding another dice, the hundreds, into the mix. All you need is a d10 that you then roll 3 times. The first time for the units, the second time for the tens and the third for the hundreds with rolling a three zeros translating to a roll of 1000 . For example, if you were to roll a 0 a 9 and a 5 the rolls would translate to a result of 590 . If you rolled a 1 a 0 and another 0, it would translate to a roll of 001. \nHOW LONG DO THOSE LAST? \nReading this document, you'll notice that the duration of some wild surges are not mentioned. That is intentional. Some surges transform the body of the caster, other creatures or have other long lasting effects. These effects may last indefinitely, until the caster's next long rest or just for a few minutes. It is up to the DM to determine the duration of the effects. Some DMs like to make them last until cured from remove curse, lesser restoration or some similar spell. Others like to make the removing of wild magic surge effects more taxing and prefer to make them last until cured with a greater restoration spell. The question a DM should ask them-self is what duration is dramatic, or what duration is fun. \n2 \nFIVE HUNDRED WILD MAGIC SURGES \nWILD MAGIC SURGES \n1d1000 Effect \n\n| 1-2 | The caster’s eyes are now between their nose and their mouth. |\n| --- | --- |\n| 3-4 | 1d4 pounds of cooked spaghetti appear in the caster’s pockets. |\n| 5-6 | Bubbles comes out of the caster’s mouth when they speak.
