effortto restore to Catholics their sense of whole-ness and one-nessin a fully sacramental life,centered in active participationin the Great Sacrifice and the public prayer of the Church.Itis not an organization,though theer is a Liturgical Confer-ence which sponsors a Liturgical Week annually,bringingtogether the leaders in the effort,as well as the leaders inall the many related efforts(rural life,art and architecture,Grailville,seminary educators,family and parish life,etc.).Each year the Week is devoted to a special subject(Liturgyand Life,the Family in Christ,Catholic Liturgy in Peaceand Reconstruction,the Living Parish),and the proceedingsof each—wonderful reading—may be obtained for $2.00from the Liturgical Conference at 200 South Green BayRoad,Highland Park,Illinois.  \nHe makes it abundantly clear that while liturgical worshipis our duty as Christians,it is also \"the most efficaciousmeans of achieving sanctity”and the only way given byChrist for making Christians one Body in truth as well asin name.In this respect Mediator Dei is related to MysticiCorporis very closely.  \nTn encouraging \"this holiest of causes,\"Pius XII casti-gates all the \"apathetic and half-hearted(whose)spirit,understanding or practice of the sacred Liturgy is defective,or all but inexistent.\"At the same time he checks \"certainenthusiasts\"who have strayed beyond the path of participated in amissa recitata or a missa cantata,or if you have ever saidcompline(or even heard of its being said),you have beentouched by their work.Pius X in his directives on frequentHoly
