of the most important things on Earth.Plants, animals, and humans need water to live.Withoutwater, life on Earth would end.Luckily, about 71 percentof Earth's surface is covered with water. This water isfound in oceans, lakes, streams, and other waterwaysand areas across the planet. Some water on Earth isfrozen into ice and snow, including huge ice moundscalled glaciers. There's also water under the ground.Thisis called groundwater. \nThough it sounds like Earth has a lot of water,96.5percent of allwater on Earth is salt water.Humans andmost animals can't drink salt water and most plants can'tuse it.Most of the life on Earth must share only a tinypart of all Earth's water in order to survive. \nWater is an important resource forall life on Earth. \n# THE WATER CYCLE\n\nIf you have ever held a cold glass of water, \nsplashed in the rain,or gone swimming, then you haveexperienced part of the water cycle. The water cycle ismade up of three major parts:precipitation, evaporation, \nand condensation. \nPrecipitation is when water falls from the sky insome form. This water often ends up back in bodies ofwater such as oceans, lakes, and rivers. The water thatfalls on solid ground may flow back into these bodies. \nThe next step of the water cycle is evaporation.Thesun warms the water on Earth. This turns some of theliquid into a gas. This water vapor rises from the surfaceof Earth into the sky. \nAs the water vapor rises into the atmosphere,it cools and changes to water droplets again throughcondensation. The droplets form clouds. They may thenreturn to the Earth as rain or other precipitation and thecyc","cbCaisLkbUZXLTGC","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCaisLkbUZXLTGC","pdf",4003967,32,"English","# WATER, WATER EVERYWHERE?\n## THE WATER CYCLE\n## RAIN AND SLEET AND SNOW, OH
