The Board of Directors of MIGA concurred on April 13, 2022 to issue guarantees to cover: (i) up to US$16 million of equity investments by SDHS Nile (HK) Limited of China and Shandong International Economics (HK) Limited of China (up to US$8 million each); (ii) Up to US$107 million of non-shareholder loans (including interest and debt standby facility cover for all lenders and interest rate swap for Stanbic) by Stanbic Bank Kenya Limited of Kenya (up to US$13 million), Deutsche Investitions und Entwicklungsgesellschaft mbH (DEG) of Germany (up to US$47 million), the Emerging Africa Infrastructure Fund Limited (EAIF) of Mauritius (up to US$47 million); (iii) Up to US$49 million of loan guarantees by GuarantCo Ltd of Mauritius; and (iv) Amounts to be identified for equity investments and non-shareholder loans by other (future) equity investors and lenders yet to be identified.
