Term 4 is a long term with much happening across the college. Can I stress ATTENDANCE must be students’ highest priority this term! \nWelcome back to Mr Treacy who returns after having Term 3 off on Long Service Leave. It is lovely to see him back with us. \nLoddon Mallee Regional Athletics Competition \nYesterday, a very small team of students made their way to Bendigo as part of the next stage of the Loddon Mallee Interschool Regional Athletics. I’d like to send a huge shout out to Jobe Anset, Olivia Barker, Taylor Lacy, Zarah Crichton, Dylan Cook, Bella Douglass, who placed in the top 8. Each of them represented themselves, the college and their families with pride. Olivia and Taylor are off to the STATE TITLES. We wish them every success A huge thank you to our parents/carers for your support in taking your young person to Bendigo. How proud you must all be, because we are very proud of each one of them. \nOlivia 1st in both Shot put and Discus \nTaylor 1st in Shot put, 2nd in Javelin AND 3rd in Discus Zarah 2nd in Shot put, 5th Discus \nDylan 3rd in Discus Jobe 3rd in Shot put \nBella 7th in the 1500 metre race \nExcellamus - Let Us Excel! \nMrs Fiona Miller Principal \nWe acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the land, the Barapa Barapa people, on whose land we attend school. We pay our respects to elders, past, present and emerging, for they hold the memories, traditions and culture of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people of Australia. \nP A G E 2 \nSenior School Update \nUnit 3/4 Exam preparation \nWell done to all students that sat their “formal” practice exams this week. There were a few moans and groans initially, having to sit an exam first up on Monday morning. However, the overall consensus from students (and teachers) is that it has been a very valuable experience. \nStudents now have a good indication of where they stand, and will be able to work with their teachers to identify areas for improvement. \nImportant: It can be very overwhelming when you receive your results. Don’t focus on the number, but focus instead on what areas you need to work on. \nThere is still plenty of time if you use that time wisely. The work that you put in now will have a direct influence on your final results. Seek assistance if you need help putting together a study strategy/timetable for the remaining few weeks. \nThe final Unit 3/4 exam for our students is on Monday, November 17th. You will all be able to enjoy a well deserved break once exams are finished. \nOur Year 12 students will celebrate with their families and teachers at our Valedictory Dinner on Friday, November 21st. \nVCE Exam Navigator \nAll Unit 3/4 VCE (except for VM) students have been provided with a copy of the VCE Exam Navigator. The Exam Navigator has all of the information regarding the conduct of the end-of-year external exams. It includes information about Special Provision (what to do if something goes wrong on the exam day), allowed materials, VCAA rules, and how students can register to receive their results. Students must read this important document over the next few weeks, prior to their exams.
