Many baby animals use the estuary as a nursery because of the sheltered waters.  \nPelicans spend a lot of time in the estuary looking for fish to eat.  \nHermit Crabs must find empty shells for their homes.  \nFlounder are flat fish that live and hide in the Estuary.  \nSea Stars are never found in fresh water.
