I hope all of you are doing well and praying that better times are around the corner! As I was preparing to write for the editorial page of this E‐Nihon Mon, I thought that these 3 Cs mentioned may be a common thread for all members of the Indian and Japanese fraternity of our Centre. \nThe less said about Covid, the better. The only thing that we all can do is to stay safe, follow social distancing and hygiene protocols, avoid unnecessary travel….and of course, hope that the revered community of medical professionals come out with a vaccination soon. Let us count our blessingsand not feel defeated when we look around us. This too shall pass!!! \nA very significant change has happened recently at the National Diet, Japan. The new PMOJ, HE Yoshihide Suga has been appointed as the Head of the Government of Japan, succeeding HE Shinzo Abe –its longest serving Prime Minister. \nJapan’s embrace of India may have started well before the Prime Ministership of Shinzo Abe but he will be remembered for increasing the bonding between our two countries and for furthering India’s status \namongst the democratic powers in the Asia‐ Pacific region. The new PMOJ has promised continuity of his predecessor’s partnership with India and our countries will look forward, with enthusiasm and optimism, to see this bond being lent further strength. \nOur team is excited, yet again, to bring to you the various events and activities of our centre…capitalising on the virtual platforms that has made such interactions and activities possible.
