From best practice and testing tips to how automated scoring works, there are links to Versants bite-sized Exclusive Tips Clinics which cover many of the topics you need to prepare for your upcoming test. \nThe test that all new and renewing drivers will be taking is the Versant 4 Skill Essential Test and details of this can be found here: Pearson professional English tests \nWhen you visit this website you will see that there is a drop down menu at the top called‘Prepare’ and by clicking this you can access 'Exclusive Tips Clinic’ and ‘Versant daily Challenge’. \nExclusive Tips Clinic \nThe 'Exclusive Tips Clinic’ has a number of videos which explain about the test, how it works, scoring and importantly how to prepare. Preparation for taking the test and knowing what to expect can really improve your scores, people do not normally just walk into tests and hope to pass them so you shouldn’t either. \nPractice Tests \nAt the bottom of the ‘Exclusive Tips Clinic’ page there is the option to buy practice tests. By selecting this you will need to click on ‘Europe’ and then ‘United Kingdom’ to go to the right page. You will be presented with 4 options and you want to select ‘Versant 4 Skills Practice Test’. Whilst the question format will remain the same, the wording of questions will obviously be different each time you take it. \nHaving taken the practice test you will get a score report which will tell you: \n􀁸 Your precise overall score and sub-skill area scores in the range of 10-90 on the Global Scale of English \n􀁸 A detailed description of your language capabilities in the areas of Speaking, Listening, Reading and Writing \n􀁸 Suggestions for improvement based on your current skills \nThe price for a practice test on the website is £11.00 but currently Versant are offering 25% off if you enter the code ‘TIPS25’ after adding the test to the cart. The following link will take you directly to the page to purchase a practice test: Versant 4 Skills Practice Test \nVersant Daily Challenge \nBy accessing this free service Versant will send you one question a day for five days to help get you familiar with some of the different question types that might appear on your upcoming test and see how Versants testing experts would answer. \nYou can sign up for free on the following webpage and by doing this you can receive a 40% discount towards any full length Versant Practice Test such as that detailed above: \nVersant daily challenge \nTyping \nWhilst you will have to type to answer some of the questions the test is not a test of your typing skills. \nTyping is something that can easily be practiced without any cost and the layout of a keyboard can be picked up relatively quickly. There are free online tutorials and also classes locally that can be accessed to assist you so it is for individuals to decide how much preparation they put in. \nHopefully the above information and resources will take away the fear of the unknown and we would suggest that by taking the opportunity to prepare yourself for the marked version of the test you are giving yourself the best opportunity to pass. \nYou can practice as much as you like and it will save you money over potentially failing the marked test. As you are only required to pass the English Competency Test once you can take it as early as you like. \nThe marked version of the test can only be purchased through Licensing so once you are ready please get in touch by email at [licensing.taxis@eastherts.gov.uk](licensing.taxis@eastherts.gov.uk or)[ or](licensing.taxis@eastherts.gov.uk or) calling 01992 531503. \nIf having accessed the above resources you still have concerns that you will not be able to pass the test due to diagnosed dyslexia or other difficulties then please contact us atthe earliest opportunity and we ","cbCaitXtvvpGYulk","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCaitXtvvpGYulk","pdf",72642,"English","# Versant testing overview\n## Exclusive Tips Clinic\n## Practice Tests and scoring report\n## Versant Daily Challenge\n## Typing and preparation advice\n## Marked test purchase and support","[{\"question\":\"What is the Versant 4 Skill Essential Test and who needs to take it?\",\"answer\":\"The document states that all new and renewing drivers take the Versant 4 Skill Essential Test.
