point(s) of contact, which include, name, phone number, email, and physical address. \nThe National Emergency Medical Responders Certification (NEMR) is a certificate that nationally recognizes you from an EMR provider to a national certification. Some states have an approved system, and other states do not. \nFor example, in California, the Emergency Medical Service Authority does not regulate the EMR programs. The lowest level of EMS training they handle is EMT. \nMany states do not require an EMR certificate; however, training courses are recognized through the National Registry of EMTs. Typically, EMR courses are only provided in states where that level of medical emergency service is recognized. \n[https://www.nremt.org/EMR/Certification](https://www.nremt.org/EMR/Certification-The)[-The](https://www.nremt.org/EMR/Certification-The) First Responder: National Standard Curriculum was designed and developed by a Curriculum Development Group (CDG) of emergency medicine and education experts. \nEMRs provide basic first aid and don’t often transport individuals to a hospital. Typically, a EMR is not considered part of the EMS system but an off-shoot of it. EMR will also assist EMS upon arrival, if it is needed. According to the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians,“Emergency Medical Responders perform basic interventions with minimal equipment.” \nIndividuals applying for Emergency Medical Responder certification must meet the following requirements: \nSuccessful completion of a state-approved Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) course that meets or exceeds the National Emergency Medical Services Education Standards for the Emergency Medical Responder. \nCandidates must have completed the course within the past two years and the course Program Director must verify successful course completion on the National Registry website. \nThe National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians, [https://nremt.org/](https://nremt.org/), maintains NCCA accreditation for EMR, EMT, AEMT and Paramedi","cbCailQMAeMdeBLX","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCailQMAeMdeBLX","pdf",135316,"English","# EMR Program Contact and Update\n# State Educational Requirements (Meets / Does Not Meet)\n## Contact for State-Specific Information\n# National Certification and Training Guidance\n## NEMR and Approved Systems\n## Training Recognition and Course Availability\n# EMR Certification Eligibility Requirements\n# National Registry Resources and State Map","[{\"question\":\"Who is the EMR point of contact for state-specific licensure information?\",\"answer\":\"The document instructs readers to contact Robert Whistler, EMS Coordinator, for individual state-specific EMR program point(s) of contact, including name, phone number, email, and physical address.\"},{\"question\":\"What does the checklist table compare for each state?\",\"answer\":\"For each listed state, the table includes columns to record whether the program meets educational requirements and whether it does not meet educational requirements.\"},{\"question\":\"What are the requirements to apply for Emergency Medical Responder certification?\",\"answer\":\"Applicants must successfully complete a state-approved EMR course that meets or exceeds national education standards, complete the course within the past two years, and have the Program Director verify completion on the National Registry website.\"}]","EMR Program Licensure Checklist - Updated 6/3/2024 | PDF",1790200677]
