Read \nall instructions before using this machine. \nDANGER – To reduce the risk of electric shock: \n1. Your sewing machine should never be left unattended when plugged in. Always unplug the machine from the electrical outlet immediately after using and before cleaning. \n2. Always unplug before replacing light bulb. Replace bulb with same bayonet socket type, 15W max. \n3. Do not place or store machine where it can fall or be pulled into a tub or sink. Do not reach for the machine if it has fallen into water. Unplug immediately. \nWARNING – To reduce the risk of burns, fire, electrical shock or injury: \n1. Do not allow machine to be used as a toy. Supervision is necessary when this machine is used by or near children. \n2. Use this sewing machine only for its intended use as described in this manual. Only use attachments recommended by the manufacturer as described in this manual. \n3. Never operate this machine if it has a damaged cord or plug, is not working properly, has been dropped or damaged or dropped into water. Return the machine to the nearest authorized dealer or service center for examination, repair, electrical or mechanical adjustment. \n4. This machine is equipped with a special connection cord which, if damaged, must be replaced by an identical cord. This can be obtained from your dealer. \n5. Never operate the sewing machine with any air opening blocked. Keep ventilation openings of the sewing machine and foot control free from the accumulation of lint, dust and fibers. \n6. Never drop or insert any object into any opening. \n7. Do not use outdoors. \n8. Do not operate where aerosol (spray) products are being used or where oxygen is being administered. \n9. Do not pull or push fabric while stitching. This may deflect the needle causing it to break. \n15. Switch the sewing machine off when making any adjustment in the needle area, such as threading needle, changing needle, threading bobbin, changing presser foot, etc. \n16. Always unplug the sewing machine from the electrical outlet when removing covers, lubricating or making any other servicing adjustments mentioned in the instruction manual. \nSAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS \nUSA only \nYour machine comes equipped with a polarized plug (one prong wider than the other) . A polarized plug reduces the risk of electrical shock. This plug is intended to fit into a polarized outlet. If the plug does not fitfully into the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician to install the proper outlet. Do not modify the plug in any way. \nUse only foot control YC-482J or TJC-150 (UL, CSA) . \nTABLE OF CONTENTS \nSECTION I – Machine Parts and Functions \nPart Names ............................................................ 3 \nStandard Accessories ............................................ 3 \nExtension Table (Accessory Storage Box) and Free Arm .................................................... 4 \nCentimeter/Inch Measurements .............................4 \nCircular Sewing Pivot Points................................... 4 \nFoot Pressure Dial ................................................. 4 \nAdditional Presser Foot Clearance ........................ 5 \nHow to Snap Presser Foot Off and On .................. 5 \nHow to Remove and Attach the Shank .................. 5 \nSeam Allowance Lines ........................................... 6 \nHow to Drop the Feed Dog .................................... 6 \nStitch Selection Knob ............................................. 6 \nStitc","cbCaipeKFbhHZUmv","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCaipeKFbhHZUmv","pdf",1739964,41,"English","# SECTION I – Machine Parts and Functions\n## Part Names\n## Standard Accessories\n## Extension Table (Accessory Storage Box) and Free Arm\n## Centimeter/Inch Measurements\n## Circular Sewing Pivot Points\n## Foot Pressure Dial\n## Additional Presser Foot Clearance\n## How to Snap Presser Foot Off and On\n## How to Remove and Attach the Shank\n## Seam Allowance Lines\n## How to Drop the Feed Dog\n## Stitch Selection Knob\n## Stitch Length Knob\n## Fine Tuning Stretch Stitches\n## Stitch Width/Needle Position Dial\n## Reverse Stitch Lever\n## Thread Tension Dial\n# SECTION II – Getting Ready to Sew\n## Selecting the Correct Needle and Thread\n## Changing the Needle\n## Needle Definitions\n## Connecting the Machine to Power Supply\n## Foot Control and Sewing Speed\n## Removing the Bobbin Case\n## Spool Pins\n## Winding a Bobbin\n## Inserting the Bobbin\n## Threading the Machine\n## Drawing Up the Bobbin Thread\n# SECTION III – Sewing Basics\n## Example of How to Read the Machine Set-Up Information\n## Which Presser Foot To Use\n## Straight Stitch\n## Starting to Sew\n## Finishing Off a Seam\n## Changing Sewing Direction\n## Gathering\n## Zipper Insertion","[{\"question\":\"What should you do if the sewing machine is plugged in and unattended?\",\"answer\":\"Do not leave the sewing machine unattended when it is plugged in.
