He was a great soldier. His soldiers won many victories with God’s help. But there was something wrong with Naaman. He had a terrible skin disease called leprosy.  \nNow, a little Israelite girl who had been captured by the Syrians was a servant to Naaman’s wife. She said to Naaman’s wife,“I wish my master could go to Israel. There is a prophet there who could cure him.”  \nThe king of Syria gave Naaman permission to visit Israel. The king gave him a letter that asked the king of Israel to heal him. Naaman took gifts of silver, gold and fine clothing.  \nThe king of Israel was very upset when he read the letter. He said,“How can he expect me to cure this man? Who does this man think I am? Does he think I am God? He must be trying to start a fight.”  \nElisha the prophet heard that the king of Israel had torn his robe. He told the king.“Send Naaman to me.
