was$4.49billion,while earningspershare were  \n$1.67.Excluding a S296 million one-time write-offrelated to Microsoft's Web TV purchase,earnings pershare of S1.78 represented a 35 percent increase com-pared to $1.32 in fiscal 1997.Revenue for the quartertotaled $4 billion,a 26 percent rise over last year'squarter.Net income was S1.36 billion,and earnings pershare were S0.50,an increase of 25
