It could, of course, be used for other adventures as well.  \nThis prop is dedicated to the memory ofKieth  \nHerber.  \nThis is a newspaper clipping called for in the adventure book which the investigators nd pasted next to Marrion Allen’s name in Rupert Merriweather’s Journal. The clipping is from a New Orleans newspaper,‘The Picanyune,’ and dated August 1883.  \nThis document is meant to be printed double-sided on actual newsprint, if possible. You can nd newsprint in the form of cheap doodle or drawing pads at many o􀀞ce and art supply stores. When cut to 8.5 x 11 inch size it will go through many inkjet and laser printers.  \nPlease note: newsprint can jam some printers. Weather conditions were rainy and fairly cold so the antipation was that the fire would be extinguished very soon and with little difficulty.  \nFiremen and on-lookers were astonished when the rainy weather brought on thunder and then lightening. Lighting touched down striking one of the large oil tanks on the pier and caused a large explosion which resulted in the deaths of several Philedelphia firemen and the injury of others, including innocent bystandards.  \nBattalion Chief Nichols commented,“Had on-lookers heeded the police and others who were securing a perimeter around the blaze, these injuries might never have happened.”  \n(Continued Pg. 4)  \nA MURDER ATTHE DOCKS  \nNEW ORLEANS, Aug. 12–The body of Mr. Marion Allen, late of Arkham, Massachusetts, was discovered near the Gulf & Panama docks.
