Learners are guided to study an organiser, then turn the page and recall information by rewriting, recreating the organiser, or drawing mind maps with colours and pictures. After recalling, learners compare their notes with the organiser and revisit missing points until stored in long-term memory through repeated practice, stapling 22 blank sheets into a booklet.","Edexcel GCSE Business \nTheme 1: Investigating Small Business \nName: \nHow to use this booklet \nThis booklets contains knowledge organisers for each topic within Theme 1: Investigating Small Business. \nAfter each knowledge organiser, there is a blank page. This page is for you to use as retrieval practice. \nStudy the knowledge organiser. When you feel confident that you can recall the information on it, turn the page and write down everything that you can recall. You may do this by trying to recreate the knowledge organiser, or draw a mind map with colours and pictures that help you to organise your memories onto the page. \nWhen you have spilled everything you can remember out onto the page, compare it with the knowledge organiser. Whatever you have missed out are the part that you need to keep on revisiting until it is locked into your long term memory. \nOf course, you can repeat this process as many times as you need. All you need to do is get 22 blank sheets of paper and staple them into a retrieval practice booklet. \nRemember, repetition is key to being able to store your learning in long term memory for you to retrieve in the future… and it takes lots of practice! Now is the time to make memories! \nContents \n1.1.1 The dynamic nature of business p.4 \n1.1.2 Risk and reward p.6 \n1.1.3 The role of business enterprise p.8 \n1.2.1 Customer needs p.10 \n1.2.2 Market research p.12 \n1.2.3 Market segmentation 1 p.14 \n1.2.3 Market segmentation 2 p.16 \n1.2.4 Competitive environment p.18 \n1.3.1 Business aims and objectives p.20 \n1.3.2a Business revenue costs and profits p.22 \n1.3.2b Break even diagram p.24 \n1.3.3 Cash and cash-flow p.26 \n1.3.4 Sources of business finance p.28 \n1.4.1 Ownership and liability p.30 \n1.4.2 Business location p.32 \n1.4.3 The marketing mix p.34 \n1.4.4 Business plans p.36 \n1.5.1 Business stakeholders p.38 \n1.5.2 Technology and business p.40 \n1.5.3 Legislation and business p.42 \n1.5.4 The economy and business p.44 \n1.5.5 External influences p.46","cbCaic2764hLtSWf","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCaic2764hLtSWf","pdf",4156752,1,47,"English","en",105,"# Contents\n## 1.1.1 The dynamic nature of business\n## 1.1.2 Risk and reward\n## 1.1.3 The role of business enterprise\n## 1.2.1 Customer needs\n## 1.2.2 Market research\n## 1.2.3 Market segmentation 1\n## 1.2.3 Market segmentation 2\n## 1.2.4 Competitive environment\n## 1.3.1 Business aims and objectives\n## 1.3.2a Business revenue costs and profits\n## 1.3.2b Break even diagram\n## 1.3.3 Cash and cash-flow\n## 1.3.4 Sources of business finance\n## 1.4.1 Ownership and liability\n## 1.4.2 Business location\n## 1.4.3 The marketing mix\n## 1.4.4 Business plans\n## 1.5.1 Business stakeholders\n## 1.5.2 Technology and business\n## 1.5.3 Legislation and business\n## 1.5.4 The economy and business\n## 1.5.5 External influences","[{\"question\":\"What are knowledge organisers used for in this booklet?\",\"answer\":\"Each topic within Theme 1 includes a knowledge organiser that summarises key information for learners to study and recall.\"},{\"question\":\"How does the booklet guide retrieval practice?\",\"answer\":\"After studying a knowledge organiser, learners turn the page and write down everything they can recall, either by recreating the organiser or drawing a mind map.\"},{\"question\":\"How should learners handle gaps in their recall?\",\"answer\":\"They compare their recall with the knowledge organiser and revisit any missing parts until the learning is securely stored in long-term memory.\"}]","Edexcel GCSE Business -
