After summoning a demon through internet-inspired rituals, they secure unlimited food and bill payment—but must pay with their souls. The bargain turns grotesque when they are forced to eat demon slime, and the story escalates with more uncanny events delivered to their doorstep amid their locked-in routine.","D o you know what it means to be truly hungry? I’m not talking about \njust simple hunger pains between meals, or the bitter taste on your tongue that has you salivating for a snack. I’m talking about the type of hunger that extends from cramps into disorientation. \nHallucinations. The kind of hunger that would make you commit cannibalism just so you don’t die. The kind of hunger that makes you want to chew off your own fingers just to make it stop. Well, in all my years of being this city’s coroner, I have never seen anything like that before. Until now. \nLucy and Jack Glutton were once a normal couple. They held hands, cuddled on the couch while binging Netflix. They humped each other like rabid dogs at least twice a week. There was only one small thing. \nThey were agoraphobics. In fact, they met in an Agoraphobia Support Group. It was all over Zoom. They added each other on social media and rapidly grew closer, bonding over the fact that they both were terrified and disgusted with the idea of going outside. Talking to people. Going to work. Grabbing food. It stemmed from extreme social anxiety for the both of them. \nIt took everything in Jack to visit Lucy’s house. That was a big move, but he was really falling for her at this point. \nNeedless to say, he only visited once, and then, he just never left. They pretty much started living together from then on. \nBut, it was fine. They adored each other and couldn’t get enough of being in each other ’s presence. They loved being the only person the other \none ever saw. Trust flowed easily for the both of them. \nThe only thing that sucked is that they still had to go to work and make a paycheck. That part, they absolutely dreaded. \nBut then, Jack saw a Reddit thread. A bunch of people were talking about how to summon a demon and that you could pretty much have anything you want if you’re successful. They said that’s apparently how Bill Gates and Mark Zuckerberg did it. \nWhen Jack finally convinced Lucy that this was the answer to all of life’s problems, they started just going down the list of suggestions the users gave. \nLighting your favorite item on fire while chanting something in Latin didn’t work. Neither did creating a circle in salt with your pants on your head, while running around chanting a phrase that was basically gibberish. Through trial and error, after many failed attempts and fires that went stray, they finally got to meet him. \nThere was no cloud of smoke or flashy grand entrance. The demon just appeared standing directly behind the couple. \n“Boo,” he whispered. \nScreaming, Jack and Lucy spun around to face the demon. \n“You called?” The demon whispered. \nHe was gripping onto a long oak stick, almost like how Death holds his scythe, and he had holes in his face that oozed green slime. His eyes were bulging and facing opposite directions. His skin was a seafoam green, and his legs and arms were so skinny, they almost looked like twigs. \nHe smiled, his yellow teeth peeking through. \n“Uh…Yeah, hi,” Jack said, scratching gently at his own scalp. \n“Nice to meet you.” Lucy extended her hand, but the demon only dragged his eyes down to her open palm, never moving the muscles in his neck or his arms. Then, he looked back up at her. \n“Okay…” Lucy said, taking her limb back, awkwardly. \nThe demon looked down at his non-existent watch.“Yeah, I got other places to be, guys. I have to be at an execution at 2:30 Hell’s time, so what do y’all need?” The demon still only whispered. He looked back up atthe couple, a serious expression ripping his smile away. \n“Uhh ” Jack started to rub the back of his neck while he searched for the correct words.“So, Lucy and I suffer from agoraphobia. It means–” \n“Yeah, yeah.” The demon started to wave his skinny hand at them.“I know all about the silly names you humans give us, I don’t need your entire backstory.” \n“Okay. We need unlimited food sent to us and all of our bills paid so that we never have to leave the house","cbCaipqGoVT77AXw","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCaipqGoVT77AXw","pdf",1666378,25,"English","en",105,"# The Kind of Hunger That Breaks Minds\n## Jack and Lucy’s Locked-In Life\n## The Reddit Ritual and the Deal\n## Demon Slime and the Contract","[{\"question\":\"Why can Jack and Lucy only stay inside their house?\",\"answer\":\"They suffer from severe agoraphobia rooted in extreme social anxiety, which they even manage through an online support group.\"},{\"question\":\"What do Jack and Lucy ask for after summoning the demon?\",\"answer\":\"They request unlimited food and having all bills paid so they never have to leave the house.\"},{\"question\":\"What is the price the demon demands for the deal?\",\"answer\":\"The demon requires both of their souls as payment in exchange for granting their wishes.\"}]","Eat Freaks - Madison Doyle | PDF",1785657710,39,{"code":4,"msg":30,"data":31},"ok",{"site_id":23,"language":22,"slug":32,"title":13,"keywords":33,"description":14,"schema_data":34,"social_meta":85,"head_meta":87,"extra_data":89,"updated_unix":27},"eat-freaks-madison-doyle","",{"@graph":35,"@context":84},[36,53,67],{"@type":37,"itemListElement":38},"BreadcrumbList",[39,43,47,50],{"item":40,"name":41,"@type":42,"position":11},"https://docshare.wps.com","Home","ListItem",{"item":44,"name":45,"@type":42,"position":46},"https://docshare.wps.com/document/","Document",2,{"item":48,"name":12,"@type":42,"position":49},"https://docshare.wps.com/document/story-novel/",3,{"item":51,"name":13,"@type":42,"position":52},"https://docshare.wps.com/document/eat-freaks-madison-doyle/116265/",4,{"url":51,"name":13,"@type":54,"author":55,"headline":13,"publisher":57,"fileFormat":60,"inLanguage":22,"description":14,"dateModified":61,"datePublished":61,"encodingFormat":60,"isAccessibleForFree":62,"interactionStatistic":63},"DigitalDocument",{"name":9,"@type":56},"Person",{"url":40,"name":58,"@type":59},"DocShare","Organization","application/pdf","2026-08-02",true,{"@type":64,"interactionType":65,"userInteractionCount":4},"InteractionCounter",{"@type":66},"ViewAction",{"@type":68,"mainEntity":69},"FAQPage",[70,76,80],{"name":71,"@type":72,"acceptedAnswer":73},"Why can Jack and Lucy only stay inside their house?","Question",{"text":74,"@type":75},"They suffer from severe agoraphobia rooted in extreme social anxiety, which they even manage through an online support group.","Answer",{"name":77,"@type":72,"acceptedAnswer":78},"What do Jack and Lucy ask for after summoning the demon?",{"text":79,"@type":75},"They request unlimited food and having all bills paid so they never have to leave the house.",{"name":81,"@type":72,"acceptedAnswer":82},"What is the price the demon demands for the deal?",{"text":83,"@type":75},"The demon requires both of their souls as payment in exchange for granting their wishes.","https://schema.org",{"og:url":51,"og:type":86,"og:title":13,"og:site_name":58,"og:description":14},"article",{"robots":88,"canonical":51},"index,follow",{"doc_id":7,"site_id":23},{"code":4,"msg":5,"data":91},[92,95,99,103,108,113,118,123,128,131,135],{"id":11,"doc_module":4,"doc_module_name":45,"category_name":12,"show_sort_weight":93,"slug":94},90,"story-novel",{"id":46,"doc_module":4,"doc_module_name":45,"category_name":96,"show_sort_weight":97,"slug":98},"Literature",80,"literature",{"id":52,"doc_module":4,"doc_module_name":45,"category_name":100,"show_sort_weight":101,"slug":102},"Exam",70,"exam",{"id":104,"doc_module":4,"doc_module_name":45,"category_name":105,"show_sort_weight":106,"slug":107},5,"Comic",60,"comic",{"id":109,"doc_module":4,"doc_module_name":45,"category_name":110,"show_sort_weight":111,"slug":112},6,"Technology",50,"technology",{"id":114,"doc_module":4,"doc_module_name":45,"category_name":115,"show_sort_weight":116,"slug":117},7,"Healthcare",40,"healthcare",{"id":119,"doc_module":4,"doc_module_name":45,"category_name":120,"show_sort_weight":121,"slug":122},8,"Research & Report",30,"research-report",{"id":124,"doc_module":4,"doc_module_name":45,"category_name":125,"show_sort_weight":126,"slug":127},9,"Religion & Spirituality",20,"religion-spirituality",{"id":126,"doc_module":4,"doc_module_name":45,"category_name":129,"show_sort_weight":126,"slug":130},"World Cup","world-cup",{"id":132,"doc_module":4,"doc_module_name":45,"category_name":133,"show_sort_weight":132,"slug":134},10,"Lifestyle","lifestyle",{"id":136,"doc_module":4,"doc_module_name":45,"category_name":137,"show_sort_weight":104,"slug":138},19,"General","general"]
