Now, in this part 2, we'll share all the question types and how they're scored. Let's get started. 6. Understanding the test questions a. Question types on DET There are 12 question types and Interactive Reading on the Duolingo English Test. Except for the Speaking sample, all of them are scored questions. Each question comes with some basic information you need to pay attention to. Question type 1: Read and Select They ask you to pick a real English word from a list after reading it. One word appears at a time, and the directions appear on screen as the timer starts. Timer: 05 seconds per word Frequency: 15-18 times Sub-scores: Literacy, Comprehension Question type 2: Fill in the Blanks They give you a sentence; fill in the blanks to complete all unfinished words. Frequency: 01 time Sub-scores: Production, Conversation Question type 8: Interactive Writing They give you a written prompt and follow-up question; answer in writing.
