Introduction \nThis module is meant for a group of 3 to 5 adventurers of level 3 to 5. It deals \nwith the search and eventual exploration of the tomb of Mornbryn, a legendary ranger who, centuries ago, protected the cities and villages that bordered the Evermoors. These events can be easily tied into any ongoing campaign, but they’re even more suited to complement the entry for Mornbryn’s Shield in Chapter 3 of Storm King’s Thunder, The Savage Frontier. \nThe village of Mornbryn is located on the west edge of the Evermoors, atroll infested land, covered in a dense fog. But, you can relocate the village anywhere that might fit your current campaign. \nUpon arriving in town, the adventurers will find themselves having to take sides in the conflict between the local powers to take posession of Mornbryn’s treasure. \n3 \n4 \nIn the local tavern, a group of Zhentarim thugs posing as knightly sellswords bully the locals for information on the location of Mornbryn’s tomb. \nWatching from the keep, the Huntmaster mantains the peace in the village. He is looking for adventurers that might be able to remove the troublemaking Zhents without drawing the wrath of the Black Network. \nSecretly, a demonic fungus called Derdaul has crept up from the depths of the Underdark. They have infected the grove of the priestesses of mielikki and taken command of them through mind controlling spores. They now planto expand their influence to the whole town by infecting the underground water supply. They are also trying to get inside the sealed vault in the tomb and make use of its contents to further their sinister objectives. \nThe keys to the vault inside Mornbryn’s Tomb are silver alicorns, distributed centuries ago by the ranger to the locals and passed down through the generations so that they might be reunited when the time that his treasure is needed to protect the village. \nAdventure Hooks \nThese are a few options of how you might introduce the players to Mornbryn’s Shield and the quest for the tomb of the ranger. \nStorm King’s Thunder tie-in: \nAdventurers that go through the events described in Goldenfields from Storm King’s Thunder might meet Shalvus Martholio, who asks them to escort him to the Bargewright Inn, where his boss Nalaskur Thaelond will then ask the characters to accompany a beer wagon to the Troll in Flames, a tavern in Mornbryn’s Shield, where the events described in this module take place. \nZhentarim contacts: \nShould one of the characters be a member of the Zhentarim. While visiting any settlement with a Zhentarim presence, they might be contacted by one of their agents, Pimsire ( CN Male Halfling Spy MM pg. 349). He tells them of the attempts by the Black Network to gain entrance to the secret tomb of a ranger called Mornbryn. The name of Oboth Thornsteel is also given as a trustworthy contact. \nEmerald Enclave or devout of Mielikki: \nWhile traveling the characters meet Yelora (N Female Half-Elf Druid MM pg. 346), a surly wandering hermit who recently went through the village of Mornbryn’s Shield. She tells the characters about the priestesses of Mielikki who run the temple there and how they’ve been acting strangely . The priestesses also seemed somewhat distressed about recent occurrences in the village. The hermit though, refused to medd","cbCaij9Git0vKMkP","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCaij9Git0vKMkP","pdf",5515574,"English","# Introduction\n## Adventure Hooks\n## Rumours and Events","[{\"question\":\"What is the core quest in this module?\",\"answer\":\"The adventurers search for and eventually explore the tomb of Mornbryn, uncovering how the treasure and vault keys relate to the ranger’s legacy.\"},{\"question\":\"Who are the main factions trying to influence the outcome?\",\"answer\":\"Zhentarim thugs bully locals for information, while local powers such as the Huntmaster work to maintain peace and prevent the Black Network’s wrath.\"},{\"question\":\"What threat is driving the supernatural conflict?\",\"answer\":\"A demonic fungus called Derdaul has infected and mind-controlled priestesses, plans to spread influence by corrupting the underground water supply, and aims to break into the sealed vault in the tomb.\"}]","DUNGEONS & DRAGONS - Introduction - Tomb of Mornbryn Module | PDF",1791238431,11]
