As this scenario uses a location that appeared in a previous Call of Cthulhu scenario, changing the setting from Boston may take a little bit of work on the Keeper’s part. \n• It uses pre-generated investigators. \n• It is designed to be played in a single session between 3–5 hours. \n• It is intended for use with 2–6 investigators.. \n• No special rules are used here, but the normal rules are applied a bit strangely at times. These changes are easy to understand and use. \nKEEPER’S INFORMATION \nThis scenario contains spoilers for the classic Call of Cthulhu scenario The Haunting. \nWhile Dream House stands on its own, and it’snot necessary to have played The Haunting to enjoy Dream House, it will pack a particular nostalgic punch for people who have previously played through The Haunting. \nIn this “spiritual” sequel to The Haunting, a group of investigators who previously investigated—and failed to survive—the Corbitt House are given a second chance...ora third, or a fourth \nNone of the investigators remember their connection to the house. They believe Mr. Knott lives here but can’t recall visiting the house before. However, this is the Corbitt house, they have been here before, and indeed they never left. \nPlayers should create new investigators or use the pre-generated investigators that come with this scenario. While the investigators may have a “happy” ending, none of them will survive, per se. The players, however, should feel satisfied with the experience, no matter the result. \nINVOLVING THE \nINVESTIGATORS \nThe investigators are driving to visit an old friend, Mr. Henry Knott, at his home. It’s been a while since any of them spoke to him, but he recently asked them all to join him for dinner and to help him find something he’s misplaced. \nEach investigator has a connection with Mr. Knott. None of them have a close relationship with him, but they have worked with him or moved in his social circles before, so his request for dinner and a favor seems perfectly usual. \nZinnia has been Knott’s preferred handywoman for years, fixing little things in his various Boston properties.
