Drama students will participate in the following:  \n• Group work and problem solving  \n• Small group improvisation  \n• Monologue presentation (no preparation required, monologue presented at the workshop)  \n• Individual directions.  \nPlease note that there may be a monologue presentation in the workshop. If your child has a disability, chronic illness or condition that may affect their test performance on the day, please contact the Gifted and Talented Selection Unit prior to their testing.  \nThe session is held in an encouraging environment and all of the activities should be an enjoyable experience.  \nWhat to wear  \nYour child is to wear comfortable, form-fitting clothing that is suitable for free movement, such as tracksuit pants or shorts with a form-fitting shirt. Applicants must not wear jeans, skirts or dresses. Hair is to be tied back and no jewellery or make-up is to be worn. The workshop will be conducted in bare feet.  \nEssential items to bring to the workshop  \n• The completed Student Information Form with a passport-sized photo attached.  \n• The completed Student Health Form (with supporting evidence attached should your child have a learning difference or diagnosed condition that may affect their performance) .  \n• A photocopy of your child’s most recent school report (Semester 2, 2022) .  \n• A bottle of water.  \nOn arrival at the venue, these forms should be handed to the administration staff at the workshop registration table. Any serious health conditions should be brought to the attention of the administration staff at the time of registration. Please note that all forms are nonreturnable.  \nTo allow for effective planning of groups, please provide a minimum of three days’notice if you wish to withdraw your child from their session.  \nThe workshop will take approximately two hours. The exact finishing time will be confirmed when you arrive at the venue. All students must be collected promptly and will not be allowed to leave without the escort of a parent/guardian unless prior permission has been obtained. If you or another parent/guardian are unable to collect your child from their workshop, please contact the Gifted and Talented Unit prior to their session to inform us of who will be collecting your child and we will inform the administration staff.  \nCall backs  \nShould your child be successful in their workshop, you will be notified for a call back that will take place between Sunday 19 and Tuesday 21 March 2023.
