The Bible tells us that she was always doing good and helping the poor.  \nSadly, one day, Tabitha became sick, and died. Her body was washed and placed in an upstairs room.  \nWhen the disciples in Joppa heard that Peter was in a nearby town, they sent for him to come at once.  \nWhen Peter arrived, he was taken to the upstairs room where Tabitha lay.  \nMany widows stood around Peter.
