This study screens publicly available databases to identify diabetes and cancer-related genes and builds a diabetes-based cancer-associated inflammation network. Seven key genes are integrated and analyzed across tumor types, including drug sensitivity and single-cell sequencing in colon adenocarcinoma. In vitro experiments validate gene expression and arachidonic acid metabolic pathway activation under high-glucose stimulation.",{"@graph":14,"@context":72},[15,34,55],{"@type":16,"itemListElement":17},"BreadcrumbList",[18,23,27,31],{"item":19,"name":20,"@type":21,"position":22},"https://docshare.wps.com","Home","ListItem",1,{"item":24,"name":25,"@type":21,"position":26},"https://docshare.wps.com/document/","Document",2,{"item":28,"name":29,"@type":21,"position":30},"https://docshare.wps.com/document/healthcare/","Healthcare",3,{"item":32,"name":10,"@type":21,"position":33},"https://docshare.wps.com/document/diabetes-mellitus-induces-a-novel-inflammatory-network-involving-cancer-progression-insights-from-bioinformatic-analysis-and-in-vitro-validation/379866/",4,{"url":32,"name":10,"@type":35,"image":36,"author":41,"headline":10,"publisher":44,"fileFormat":47,"inLanguage":8,"description":12,"dateModified":48,"datePublished":49,"encodingFormat":47,"isAccessibleForFree":50,"interactionStatistic":51},"DigitalDocument",{"url":37,"@type":38,"width":39,"height":40},"https://docshare.wps.com/thumbnails/diabetes-mellitus-induces-a-novel-inflammatory-network-involving-cancer-progression-insights-from-bioinformatic-analysis-and-in-vitro-validation/379866.png","ImageObject",300,407,{"name":42,"@type":43},"Eliana","Person",{"url":19,"name":45,"@type":46},"DocShare","Organization","application/pdf","2026-09-26","2026-09-24",true,{"@type":52,"interactionType":53,"userInteractionCount":26},"InteractionCounter",{"@type":54},"ViewAction",{"@type":56,"mainEntity":57},"FAQPage",[58,64,68],{"name":59,"@type":60,"acceptedAnswer":61},"What We integrated seven DCRGs into the DCIN and analyzed their role indifferent tumors from various perspectives. We also investigated drug sensitivity and single-cell sequencing data in colon adenocarcinoma as an example. In addition, we performed in vitro experiments to verify the expression of DCRGsand the arachidonic acid metabolic pathway. \nResults: Seven identified DCRGs, including PPARG, MMP9, CTNNB1, TNF, TGFB1, PTGS2, and HIF1A, were integrated to construct a DCIN. The bioinformatics analysis showed that the expression of the seven DCRGs in different tumors was significantly different, which had varied effects on diverse perspectives. Singlecell sequencing analyzed in colon cancer showed that the activity of the DCRGs was highest in Macrophage and the lowest in B cells","cbCaiusRTsOufLnm","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCaiusRTsOufLnm","pdf",15577034,17,"English","# Background\n# Methods\n# Results\n# Conclusion\n# Keywords\n# Introduction","[{\"question\":\"What relationship does the study investigate between diabetes and cancer?\",\"answer\":\"The study investigates how diabetes mellitus increases tumor occurrence and development by linking diabetes-related genes to cancer-associated inflammation mechanisms.\"},{\"question\":\"How was the diabetes-based cancer-associated inflammation network (DCIN) constructed?\",\"answer\":\"The researchers screened publicly available databases for diabetes- and cancer-related genes, integrated seven diabetes and cancer-related genes into a DCIN, and analyzed their roles across tumors.\"},{\"question\":\"What experimental evidence supports the bioinformatic findings?\",\"answer\":\"In vitro experiments verified the expression of the diabetes and cancer-related genes and assessed the arachidonic acid metabolic pathway in colon adenocarcinoma epithelial cells stimulated by high glucose.\"}]","Diabetes mellitus induces a novel inflammatory network involving cancer progression - Insights from bioinformatic analysis and in vitro validation | PDF",1790237812,43]
