It defines the occupation through examination of vehicle defects, removal and inspection of major powertrain and related components, repair or replacement of mechanical parts, adjustment of brakes and steering bearings, and engine idle-speed tuning. It also adds complementary tasks for electrical-circuit removal/replacement, electrical mechanical service, and battery checking/charging. The document structures learning into specialisation blocks, each grouped by block-specific characteristics and graded difficulty within blocks.",{"@graph":14,"@context":71},[15,34,54],{"@type":16,"itemListElement":17},"BreadcrumbList",[18,23,27,31],{"item":19,"name":20,"@type":21,"position":22},"https://docshare.wps.com","Home","ListItem",1,{"item":24,"name":25,"@type":21,"position":26},"https://docshare.wps.com/document/","Document",2,{"item":28,"name":29,"@type":21,"position":30},"https://docshare.wps.com/document/research-report/","Research this CBC for auto-mechanics,are applicableto the preparation of the instructional material inteaching the work-shop practices of the following occu-pation; \n8.43.20 AUTO-MECHANICS \nRepair,maintain and service automobiles and other vehicleswith similar engines: \nExamine the veh icle to determine the nature, seriousness and cause of the defects;determinethe work that is to be done with the aid of sketchesand technical manuals;remove the eng ine,the trans-mission lines, the differential or other parts thatneed examining;repair or substitute parts like pistons, connecting rods, gears,va'lves, bearings, contact pointsand gaskets,as well as spark plugs and other acces-sories;change the brake lining.and adjust it;changethe bearings of the steering, and do whatever otherrepairs are necessary;adjust the idling speed of theengine by advancing or retarding the ignition,car-burettor valves and the transmission lines;on comple-tion of all this, test the vehicle in the work-shopor on the road. \nThe student may specializ(in the repairing of one十ype of·automobile engine, such as diesel engines, and can be designated accordingly. \nNOTE: The following complementary tasks have been incor- \nporated to the previous ones for the purposes of this CBC: \nRemoving and replacing the electrical circuit. \nRepairing and servicing the mechanical parts of the electricalcircui十. \nChecking and charging the battery. \nThe material can also be used for the instructions onpartial aspects corresponding +o the occiupations belongingto the group 9-85 \"Motor Vehicle Drivers. \nOPERATIONS \nThis CBC includes the majority of operations.involvec inauto-mechanics but, owing to the unlimited number of opera-tions and considering the variations due to the differenceof component parts in different models and makes of vehicles,a fixed type of vehicle wil be used as reference. Thisvehicle should have a gasoline 6-cylinder engine, mechanicaltransmission, three gears and a hydraulic braking system. In the composition of this CBC,an excep+ion has beenintroduced,i.e.grouping the OS's in the specialisationblocks as was defined in p+.4.3 page 13 of the normativedocument(2nd edition). \nIt was also thought useful to include operations which, although notstrictly belonging to this occupation, complement it and facilitateits use. This is the case with operations in Block 9 of the elec-frical system. \nIt should be noted however that other CBC's on automobiles are beingdeveloped in which specialisation sections, such as electricity, upholstering, coating and painting, diesel engines etc.,are beingdealt with. \nTECHNOLOGICAL INFORMATION \nWith regard to the.TIS's,the same exception that was made with theOS's may be applied here,as in this first CBC it was practicallyimpossible to classify and codify the technological information. As a result the indexes VII and VIII suggested in the normativedocument have not been included.Later in preparing other relatedCBC's,the missing classification and indexes may be put in. \n守 \nINDEXES \nOPERATION SHEETS \n● \n● \n# SPECIALISATION BLOCKS(*)Grouping of operations for AUTO MECHANICS\n\nCHARACTE- \nTitle of block \nRISTICS \nBraking System \nAM-1 \nAM-2 \nSuspension and Steering System ","cbCairMILCxD3Quf","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCairMILCxD3Quf","pdf",9656102,492,"English","# Specialisation Blocks\n## Braking System\n## Suspension and Steering System\n## Transmission System\n## Engine Cooling System\n## Engine Lubrication System\n## Engine Fuel System\n## Engine Distribution System\n## Engine Block Unit System\n## Engine Electrical System","[{\"question\":\"What occupation does the CBC cover?\",\"answer\":\"It covers AUTO MECHANICS, including repairing, maintaining, and servicing automobiles and other vehicles with similar engines, using workshop practices and technical manuals.\"},{\"question\":\"What core operations are included for auto-mechanics?\",\"answer\":\"The operations include inspecting vehicles to identify defects, removing and examining engine and drivetrain parts, repairing or substituting major components, adjusting brakes and steering bearings, and tuning engine idle speed, followed by testing the vehicle.\"},{\"question\":\"How are specialisation topics organized in this CBC?\",\"answer\":\"Operations are grouped into specialisation blocks, such as Braking System (AM-1) through Engine Electrical System (AM-9), with difficulty grading maintained within each block.\"}]","DESCRIPTION OF THE CBC - Specialisation Blocks - Grouping of operations for AUTO MECHANICS | PDF",1240]
