They commended the innovative design and specific focus on vulnerable communities, working within a decentralization framework driven by local demand that aims to strengthen the capacity of provincial administrations in the three target provinces in Eastern DRC.  \nDirectors appreciated continued engagement in an FCV setting in Eastern DRC, in support of institutional reforms, governance, and local development. They noted the project’s evidence-based design, including the integration of lessons learned from the implementation of previous projects in DRC and other FCV situations. They highlighted its strong focus on data collection and knowledge gathering to allow for real-time flexibility, opportunities to explore synergies with other projects in the region, and for the potential to replicate the approach in other FCV settings.  \nRecognizing the need for an incremental and adaptive approach, they stressed the importance of strong implementation support with a focus on fiduciary, environmental, and social aspects. They cautioned that implementation risks in such insecure and volatile environments are of considerable magnitude and will require diligent supervision. Directors urged Management to continue to incentivize staff to work in FCV settings in line with the FCV strategy.  \nDirectors appreciated the systematic integration of gender throughout the project’s interventionsand the attention paid to risks related to sexual exploitation, abuse and harassment, and genderbased violence (GBV) .
