The story traces his upbringing on a farm, family dynamics after his mother’s passing, and the early support of his stepmother. It centers on childhood friendships with Marty Fletcher and Sally Johnson, growing social tension in school, and the emotional fallout of adolescence—especially Sally’s shifting place among the popular kids—while the past resurfaces unexpectedly in the present.","DELTA REBORN \nXander Jade \n[OceanofPDF.com](OceanofPDF.com) \nCopyright © 2026 Xander Jade \nAll rights reserved \nThe characters and events portrayed in this book are fictitious. The sun shone brightly, a breeze blew, and animals scampered around in the woods. I ate a PB&J while sitting at a picnic table. Man, I love those. \nMy thoughts drifted to the good old days, and I contemplated the journey that led me here. It was a long and fulfilling journey, but it wasn’t without its challenges. \nMy name’s Slade Prescott, and I’m seventy-three years old. It had been some time since my mind had gone back over some of those memories. I’d relegated them to the recesses of my mind, intending to forget them, but the mind doesn’t operate that way, and they usually return when you least expect them. Watching the kids play in the distance brought back memories of my childhood. \nI was the youngest of six siblings, four boys and two girls. Everyone in my family was tall, standing between six feet two inches and six feet six inches. We lived on a farm in Iowa, ten miles outside of town, where we grew corn, soybeans, and some other crops that we could sell. My parents were young when they got married. Dad inherited the farm from Grandpa, and they had been there ever since. It wasn’t long after that my mom passed, but Dad ended up remarrying and my stepmother, Ashley, came into our lives. We eventually called her Mom. \nWhen we were old enough to walk and talk, we were shoved out to work; it was hard but honest. Obviously, we had our grumbles and complaints, but year after year, we brought in a good harvest thanks to the rain. \nOur family lived in a small school district, so everybody knew whose kids were whose. When you got in trouble at school, your parents knew way before you arrived home. Needless to say, it was tough to sit down some of those times. My stepmom taught me how to read and write at a young age, and I enjoyed the time we spent together. \nWhen I first started school, I was nervous from the get-go. As it was the first day of kindergarten, the atmosphere and people were unfamiliar, making it quite intimidating. That’s where I met my first genuine friend, Marty Fletcher. Along with owning a farm, the Fletcher family distributed wheat and rye. He wore glasses and was nerdy, but I didn’t care about that. The youngster had a high level of intelligence, and I was highly motivated to learn, which resulted in us forming a strong bond and remaining close throughout elementary school. \nWe were both small for our ages and kept mostly to ourselves. It was during our fifth-grade year that Sally Johnson joined our group. Her family owned a shop in town. Despite her prominent stature and more affable demeanor, she still wanted to spend time with us . I guess it was her intellect and her nonstop chattering that meant she couldn’t join the popular people. \nThe three of us were fast friends. Marty and Sally would always argue about certain problems and schoolwork that we had. I would intervene when necessary, but most of the time, I kept to myself and observed, soaking up everything that was discussed. The two would finally give in and listen to the others’ reasoning, but that","cbCaibPlTg5CfKY2","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCaibPlTg5CfKY2","pdf",1140433,108,"English","en",105,"# Contents\n## Chapter 1\n## Chapter 2\n## Chapter 3\n## Chapter 4\n## Chapter 5\n## Chapter 6\n## Chapter 7\n## Chapter 8\n## Chapter 9\n## Chapter 10\n## Chapter 11\n## Chapter 12\n## Chapter 13\n## Chapter 14\n## Chapter 15\n## Chapter 16\n## Chapter 17\n## Chapter 18\n## Afterword","[{\"question\":\"Who is the narrator in DELTA REBORN, and what triggers the memories?\",\"answer\":\"The narrator is Slade Prescott, age seventy-three.
