Her captivity connects to Warlocks and a mysterious figure, while later companions confront shocking transformations and uneasy truths. As exiled magic-wielders and unexpected allies gather, the group faces tense discussions, dangerous revelations, and mounting conflict that reshapes their understanding of magic, identity, and survival.","DEFENDERS OF MYTH \n~The Hollows~ \nMichael Gisman \n[OceanofPDF.com](OceanofPDF.com) \nCopyright © 2022 Michael Gisman \nAll rights reserved \nThe characters and events portrayed in this book are fictitious. Low flying and equally angry, \ndark grey clouds scudded by on an unseen and unfelt breeze. \nThough, to be fair, Juliet was unsure if there was a breeze. Staring forlornly out the cracked and dirt-smudged window, she wondered where she was for what felt like the hundredth time. She knew she was in a tower , knew that tower was part of a larger complex of buildings, but that was about the extent of her knowledge of where she was . Everything \nwas odd. The two windows she had to choose from to look out at the world held similar views. The problem was that what she saw was unlike anything she had ever seen. Just past a broken-down, worn, pitted stonewall sprawled a barren, rusty landscape that went on for unknown miles until it kissed that angry red horizon. \nEven the air felt odd, very dry, and hard to breathe. Each motion and movement felt like a drain on her energy and left her breathing much harder than she should have been from such simple activities. She glanced around her room, her cell, as she thought of it. Lusstail may have told her when he bothered to visit with his usual snarky smirk that she was their guest, but she knew better. A locked, heavy metal door with guards posted just on the other side left her with the clear notion that this was anything but what it was: captivity. Granted, she was treated well, received ample food and drink, her bedpan was changed daily, and she was treated with, maybe not respect, but at least a mild form of courtesy. But in the end, she was a captive of the Warlocks and Lusstail. And escaping was her main priority; unfortunately, she had no idea how to do that. So, once again, she gazed atthe strange land and let her mind attempt to puzzle it out. \n[OceanofPDF.com](OceanofPDF.com) \nCHAPTER ONE \nT he companions huddled around the fire in a semi-circle, each trying to \ngather their scattered thoughts as they contemplated all that had just \nhappened.
