The link between mining and climate change is becoming more and more relevant as markets increasingly scrutinize the global mining value chain with an eye for decarbonization, a trend that responds to heightened civil society and consumer awareness of the importance of low-carbon products for reducing GHG emissions. The challenges this poses to the mining industry is leading mining companies to implement initiatives to advance decarbonization along the value chain. This CCDR section outlines the relationship between mining sector development challenges and climate change in Peru considering the international context.  \n2.
