By utilizing the provided visual aids, adults can engage children in meaningful discussions to bridge the gap between classroom learning and home activities. The guide encourages interactive dialogue about winter-related imagery—such as animals, sports, and seasonal symbols—to strengthen essential literacy and cognitive skills. By investing short periods of time in these collaborative activities, parents support educational development in a flexible, multilingual context that fosters both academic readiness and family connection.",{"@graph":69,"@context":114},[70,84,105],{"@type":71,"itemListElement":72},"BreadcrumbList",[73,77,79,82],{"item":74,"name":75,"@type":76,"position":8},"https://docshare.wps.com","Home","ListItem",{"item":78,"name":9,"@type":76,"position":14},"https://docshare.wps.com/document/",{"item":80,"name":20,"@type":76,"position":81},"https://docshare.wps.com/document/exam/",3,{"item":83,"name":65,"@type":76,"position":19},"https://docshare.wps.com/document/dec-2025-winter-vocabulary/493732/",{"url":83,"name":65,"@type":85,"image":86,"author":91,"headline":65,"publisher":94,"fileFormat":97,"inLanguage":63,"description":67,"dateModified":98,"datePublished":99,"encodingFormat":97,"isAccessibleForFree":100,"interactionStatistic":101},"DigitalDocument",{"url":87,"@type":88,"width":89,"height":90},"https://docshare.wps.com/thumbnails/dec-2025-winter-vocabulary/493732.png","ImageObject",300,407,{"name":92,"@type":93},"noah","Person",{"url":74,"name":95,"@type":96},"DocShare","Organization","application/pdf","2026-10-13","2026-10-01",true,{"@type":102,"interactionType":103,"userInteractionCount":81},"InteractionCounter",{"@type":104},"ViewAction",{"@type":106,"mainEntity":107},"FAQPage",[108],{"name":109,"@type":110,"acceptedAnswer":111},"Can this activity be conducted in languages other than English?","Question",{"text":112,"@type":113},"Yes, the document encourages switching between English and other languages, such as Arabic or French, to support a multilingual learning environment.","Answer","https://schema.org",{"og:url":83,"og:type":116,"og:title":65,"og:site_name":95,"og:description":67},"article",{"robots":118,"canonical":83},"index,follow",{"doc_id":120,"site_id":62},493732,1791850811,{"code":4,"msg":5,"data":123},{"doc_id":120,"user_id":124,"nickname":92,"user_avatar":125,"doc_module":4,"category_id":19,"category_name":20,"doc_title":65,"doc_description":67,"doc_content":126,"file_id":127,"file_url":128,"file_type":129,"file_size":130,"view_count":81,"is_deleted":4,"is_public":8,"is_downloadable":8,"audit_status":8,"page_count":8,"language":131,"language_code":63,"site_id":62,"html_lang":63,"table_of_contents":132,"faqs":133,"seo_title":134,"seo_description":67,"update_tm":135,"read_time":81},1099529839121,"https://ap-avatar.wpscdn.com/davatar_994ba38a5ba835b3df7d355c54d3ed8d","Over the next month or so, some of the vocabulary the children will be learning about relates to the theme of winter. This month, I am suggesting a pre-teach activity to parents. It is something you may want to consider for new topics in the future. If you would like me to do a newsletter relating to upcoming topics, please email \n[nicolawebb71@gmail.com](nicolawebb71@gmail.com) \nIt is often difficult for parents to gain insight into the learning that goes on in school, because children will often respond to questions about ‘what did you do in school today?’ with the answer, ‘I don’t know’, or‘nothing’. This is quite normal. \nThe aim here is for parents (or you) to take 5 minutes and look at these pictures together. Some they may discuss in class, and others they might not. \nDiscuss where you might find this animal, or activity. Have you done any of these things as a family? Can you discuss things that are related to the picture. E.g. A snowman, you have to make snow balls, and find different things to dress it. What else could you dress asnow man in? Maybe you could go and make a snowman together next time we have fresh snow. \nTalking, playing and learning together really help children develop their skills ready for reading, writing and classroom learning. You don’t have to take a longtime, 5 – 15minutes will be a great investment of time, and you can do it as a class or 1:1 activity. \nYou can even do this activity in English one day, and then switch and do Arabic, or French or your native language another day.","cbCairzn1FeblASQ","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCairzn1FeblASQ","pdf",398798,"English","# Winter Vocabulary Learning Guide\n## Introduction to Winter Themed Learning\n## Activity Implementation Strategies\n## Parental Engagement Benefits","[{\"question\":\"Can this activity be conducted in languages other than English?\",\"answer\":\"Yes, the document encourages switching between English and other languages, such as Arabic or French, to support a multilingual learning environment.\"}]","Dec 2025 - Winter Vocabulary | PDF",1790885438]
