Thoughthe keeper can place the scenario wherever, and whenever with little modification. There has been a several unsolved burglaries. Fingerprints at the scenes are either not in the system or belong to someone who was already dead when the crimes happened. \nRecently there was a burglary where the homeowner was killed, and he killed his assailant. The odd thing is the burglar was already dead for a week when this happened. It appears as if the dead man killed James O’Connor, the homeowner, but not before being killed himself. \nThe dead man, William Forestner, happens to be someone the investigators know (at least one of the investigators should) . The investigator will know him as a friend and mentor who had recently retired. \nThe investigator’s mission is to figure out what is going on and if it is as it appears, stop it. \nIf you want to run this as a Pulp adventure, the adversaries will need to be adjusted. \nTHE BACK STORY \nFour years ago, while cleaning out the attic looking for things to sell because the funeral home had not been doing well, Rodney Mordecai Shakely found an old trunk that belonged to his great grandfather Mordecai Shakely. The trunk contained all of his old embalmer’s tools, a journal, small pouch of (Ward of the Dead) dust, and a black obsidian Aztec looking amulet (of Power) . \nAfter spending some time trying to figure out what the Amulet was worth, he decided to read Mordecai’s journal. The journal revealed his grandfather’s sympathy with the South during the Civil war, even though he lived in the north. It also revealed his hopes of raising an army of the dead to bring the South to victory. \nHe detailed his travels through South America where he met an old Aztec priest who showed him how to create a zombie. The priest taught him many things before Mordecai killed the priest and took his amulet. \nBack in New York, it was difficult to find some of the ingredients necessary to create the zombies. It took years of experimentation before he achieved a reliable result. But the zombies continued to rot and only lasted a few days before falling apart. Mordecai wrote in several places where a newly created zombie tried to kill him and detailed the procedure to make the Ward of the Dead dust to contain the zombie until it could be","cbCailLD1x3fcvgL","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCailLD1x3fcvgL","pdf",1715579,"English","# Introduction\n## The Backstory\n## How the Investigators get involved\n## The Home of Mary Forestner\n## Rochester Police Department\n## Riverside Cemetery\n## Shakely Funeral Home\n## Rodney Shakely\n## The Journal of Mordecai Shakely\n## Amulet of Tonatiuh\n## Robert Wilson","[{\"question\":\"What makes the burglary in this scenario unusual?\",\"answer\":\"The homeowner, James O’Connor, is killed and kills his assailant, but the burglar is discovered to have been dead for a week before the incident.\"},{\"question\":\"Who contacts the investigators and why?\",\"answer\":\"Mary Forestner, wife to William, contacts the investigators because she is distraught and confused after police questioned her about her husband in connection with the burglary.\"},{\"question\":\"What does the backstory reveal about Mordecai Shakely and the source of the threat?\",\"answer\":\"Mordecai Shakely finds embalmer’s tools and an Aztec-looking amulet, reads a journal describing the creation of zombies, and documents making Ward of the Dead dust to contain the undead.\"}]","Dead Man’s Dreams - A modern-day Call of Cthulhu Adventure | PDF",1791311464]
