D&D WITCH CLASS ii \nD&D Witch Class \nIntroduction \nShortly after the release of the original Basic \nDUNGEONS AND DRAGONS game (BD&D) , a still \nunknown's author's Witch NPC class \nappeared in issue 5 of The Dragon magazine. \nLater, Mr. Pehr adapted this NPC Witch to a \nplayable PC Witch class , published in Dragon \n20. This work contains an almost literal \nreplication of the original Witch for 5th Edition \nD&D game rules , which is based on those \narticles. There are admittedly and necessarily \nsome minor changes, but the class largely \nlooks, feels, and plays as the original was \nintended. \nMy intention behind this work is simply to \nbring the feel of an original D&D Witch into the \nplayability of 5th Edition, which permits far \nmore structured game rules and player \noptions than Classic D&D. It is important that \nthe Dungeon Master change any part of the \nWitch class to make it more suitable to their \ncampaign. I have found that when players \nhave a personal interest in the core of their \ncharacter/class, the game becomes more \nenjoyable. Therefore, change what you will -- \nsuch as a tiny black cat instead of a panther, \nor a flying broom instead of a crystal ball, or a \n`tougher' witch with more hit points, etc. For \nmore detailed information on customising \nD&D classes, please refer to my article How to Create Customised Character Classes for D&D. \nThis Witch class, in shorter form, already \nappears in my free D&D Compendium, which \nalso contains numerous additional articles of \ninterest to players and DMs. \nNot for resale. D&D WITCH CLASS 3 \nWitch Character Class \nfor D&D 5th Edition \nINTRODUCTION \nSpell-casting power of the Witch is estimated \nto be mid-way between a druid and a wizard-- \nbut closer to the power of a druid. At higher \nspell levels, the witch has access to more \ndamage-oriented spells than at lower levels of \nexperience. Note that although the witch gets \nfew spells from which to prepare, she can cast \ncertain wizardly, druidic spells and new \n(unique) spells, therefore having access to \nmultiple--albeit a narrow range--of spells \nfrom more than one character class. This \ncreates a deceptively simple and limited spell \nlist--that is in fact quite powerful. What is \nmore, despite having certain wizard spells, the \nWitch need not carry a spell book with lists of \nknown spells; instead, she may prepare any \nspell from the spell lists so long as she is \nexperienced enough to ","cbCaiquOicPInNJI","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCaiquOicPInNJI","pdf",456391,"English","# Introduction\n## Witch Character Class for D&D 5th Edition\n### Spellcasting\n### Hit Points\n### Proficiencies","[{\"question\":\"What is the source inspiration for this Witch class in D\\u0026D 5th Edition?\",\"answer\":\"The class is taken largely from Dragon 20 and, to a lesser extent, Dragon 5, aiming to retain the original witch’s feel while adapting mechanics to 5th Edition rules.\"},{\"question\":\"How are the Witch’s hit points determined as the character levels up?\",\"answer\":\"The witch uses Hit Dice of 1d6 per witch level, gains 6 + Constitution modifier at 1st level, and at higher levels gains 1d6 (or 4) + Constitution modifier per level after 1st.\"},{\"question\":\"How does Witch spellcasting work in this class?\",\"answer\":\"The Witch casts spells like a druid: cantrips known and spell slots per spell level match the druid, Wisdom is the spellcasting ability, and the document provides formulas for Spell save DC and Spell attack modifier.\"}]","D&D WITCH CLASS - For Players and DMs - Classic D&D Witch Class for D&D 5th Edition | PDF",1791281438,15]
