So if you kill the Rat King of the Undercity, it won't increase your Glory, but once everyone in Greyhawk City hears that you killed the Rat King, +1 Glory. \nGlory bonuses stack with both ability and proficiency bonuses. Because as we all know, big-time adventuring rock stars should expect to get their way. \nFollowers \nFollowers (aka lackeys, sworn-men, hangars-on, the entourage) are NPCs that have their lives directly tied into your adventuring career. You will start with a number of followers equal to your Glory score, plus your Charisma modifier. If either of those numbers increase over time, new followers will arrive. At higher levels, you can take feats to upgrade your followers, if you choose. \nFollowers can be anything from lesser adventuring types who actively assist in the dungeons, to relatives, managers, agents, groupies, annoying nut-danglers, etc. Not every follower will be along for every adventure, and they don't have to offer any obvious direct benefit to your PC (although they certainly can) . You may also use follower slots to create Useful Relationships. \nSome examples of followers: \n• A fighting man (or two) sworn to your service. \n• A quietly competent valet and aide-de-camp. \n• A pathetically disorganized valet and aide-de-camp. \n• A conniving wizard who believes that she's using you as her meat-shield while she gets her adventuring career off the ground. \n• A sallow diviner who can speak with the dead. \n• An unrequited love interest using you for your treasure and entrée. \n• The father who abandoned you ... until he heard you were famous. \n• A moon-eyed bard who thinks you're The One. \n• Your childhood rival. \n• A young priest who believes that his God has chosen you for a special destiny. \n• An entire family of halflings who are your biggest fans. \n• The ugly daughter of the head of Greyhawk City's Magic Acquisitions Guild. \n• A mysterious wood-elf archer who owes you his life. \n• A cherubic child who somehow always gives you the best advice. \n• An alcoholic dwarf hoping to get his life restarted as the personal assistant to a powerful adventurer. \n• Your best friend from childhood; loyal to a fault. \n• Angry. Stupid. Drunk. Barbarian. \nD&D Rock Stars House Rules \nUseful Relationships \nThis list isn’t meant to be complete.
