IMMEDIATE RELEASE \nCyber Bytes Foundation Launches AI Mobile Unit for Workforce & Education to Expand AI Training Across Virginia \nGO Virginia Regions 6 and 9 Unite with Industry, Education, and Local Partners to Prepare Virginia’s Future Workforce \nStafford, Virginia—April 18, 2026—The Cyber Bytes Foundation proudly announces the launch of the AI Mobile Unit for Workforce & Education, an innovative regional workforce initiative that will bring artificial intelligence training, certifications, and career pathways directly into communities across GO Virginia Regions 6 and 9. Launching in the 2026–2027 school year, the initiative represents a bold investment in Virginia’s talent pipeline and long-term economic competitiveness. \nThis project was funded in part by GO Virginia, a state-funded initiative administered by the Virginia Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD) that strengthens and diversifies Virginia’s economy and fosters the creation of higher-wage jobs in strategic industries. \nThe AI Mobile Unit will deploy state-of-the-art mobile learning labs equipped with laptops, secure connectivity, and hands-on AI training technology. These mobile classrooms will travel directly to schools, workforce centers, and community sites—expanding access to high-quality training, particularly in rural and underserved areas where opportunities are often limited. \nThe initiative is being implemented in partnership with the Academy of Technology and Innovation atthe University of Mary Washington (ATI-UMW), which will support curriculum development, dualenrollment pathways, and long-term sustainability. Together, the partners will create meaningful opportunities for high school students, adult learners, educators, and incumbent workers to gain practical AI skills aligned with current and future workforce demand. \nParticipating localities include Stafford, King George, Orange, Fauquier, and Nelson, reflecting a strong regional commitment to workforce innovation and equitable access to emerging technology education. \n“This initiative is about access, opportunity, and economic growth,” said leadership from the Cyber Bytes Foundation.“Artificial intelligence is transforming every industry, and Virginia must ensure students, teachers, and workers are prepared to succeed. Through collaboration with Regions 6 and 9, ATI-UMW, our localities, and industry partners, we are building a model that meets learners where they are and prepares them for the careers of tomorrow.” \nCorp.
