Digital SAT© Prep B focuses on mathematics and includes Units 5 – 8. Digital SAT© Prep Y addresses reading, writing, and mathematics which includes Units 1 – 8.  \nClass Outline  \nUnit 1: Information and Ideas  \nStudents will use comprehension, analysis, and reasoning skills to locate, interpret, evaluate, and integrate information from texts and graphics.  \nUnit 2: Craft and Structure  \nStudents will use skills in comprehension, vocabulary, analysis, and reasoning to interpret academic words, evaluate texts rhetorically, and connect related texts.  \nUnit 3: Expression of Ideas  \nStudents will use revision skills to enhance written expression based on rhetorical goals.  \nUnit 4: Grammar  \nStudents will edit texts to follow Standard English sentence structure, usage, and punctuation conventions.  \nUnit 5: Algebra  \nStudents will analyze, solve, and create linear equations and inequalities, and solve systems of equations using various strategies.  \nUnit 6: Problem Solving and Data Analysis  \nStudents will apply quantitative reasoning to ratios, rates, and proportional relationships, understand and use unit rates, and analyze one-and two-variable data.  \nUnit 7: Advanced Math  \nStudents will demonstrate the skills and knowledge needed for advanced math courses, including analyzing, solving, interpreting, and creating various types of equations (absolute value, quadratic, exponential, polynomial, rational, radical, and other nonlinear), as well as solving systems of linear and nonlinear equations in two variables.  \nUnit 8: Geometry and Trigonometry  \nStudents will solve problems related to perimeter, area, volume, angles, triangles, trigonometry, and circles.  \nCVA Work Policy  \n• All classwork must be completed and submitted using the links in CTLS by the DUE DATE listed on the Class Schedule.  \n• Work should be completed in the order it is assigned on the Class Schedule.  \n• All work submitted on time will be graded within 48 hours.  \n• Assignments not submitted by the due date will be marked missing. Missing assignments are calculated as zeros in the coursework average. When students submit missing work, the assignment will be graded and calculated into the coursework average.  \nThe CVA term ends prior to the end of the traditional school semester.
