\nThis Curriculum Guide provides descriptions of the courses and programs offered at Bishop Dwenger High School. Its purpose is to assist in the academic planning process. This guide is an important document that you should refer to during course selection time and throughout the year. Every time you make a decision to take a particular course, it should be made for a sound purpose or reason. Consider the following questions: \n• Is this a required course, does it need to be an important part of my general education? \n• Does this represent an area in which I am weak? Do I need it in order to strengthen my educational background? \n• Is this course one I need to meet a requirement for entering a particular college, specialized school, training program, or a particular occupation? \n• Is this course one of a sequence that will provide me with a certain degree of proficiency I will need? \n• Is this course is the kind that will challenge my abilities? \nRegistration \n1. Required and elective courses are listed on each grade’s selection sheet. Students take seven (7) subjects per semester or six (6) subjects and one Study Hall/Resource per semester. Students seeking an Academic Honors Diploma or the Enrollment Honors Seal should make sure they will have enough credits to take a Study Hall. \n2. Please select the elective courses you wish to take to complete next year’s schedule. An elective is a course a student freely chooses to complete an instructional program, according to plans for future education or entrance into the work force. \n3. Choose carefully and wisely. If you later wish to make a change, it must be before the designated date in May. \n4. A parent’s signature is required at the bottom of the course selection sheet. \n4 Curriculum Guide 2026-27 \nIndiana Diploma \nTheology 8 credits \nEnglish 8 credits-English 9 (2), American Lit (2), English Lit (2), \nCommunication Focused (1), Additional English course (1) ","cbCaimOyiVv7TN1W","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCaimOyiVv7TN1W","pdf",1001083,"English","# Introduction and Registration\n# Graduation Requirements - Class 2029+\n# Diploma Requirements - Classes 2027-2028\n# Graduation Pathways Requirements - Class 2027+\n# Weighting of Classes, Grade Scales, & Points\n# Approved NCAA Courses\n# Honors Courses Requirements, AP, and Dual Credit Offered at Bishop Dwenger\n# CLEP and Other Senior Privilege Options\n# Withdraw Pass/Withdraw Fail (WP/WF) and Other Policies\n# Departments\n## Theology\n## Art\n## Business\n## English\n## Math\n## Multidisciplinary\n## Music\n## Physical Education and Health\n## Science\n## Social Studies\n## World Languages\n## Career Programs\n## Career Academy at Anthis\n# Indiana Diploma Credit Requirements\n# Enrollment Honors Seal\n# Employment Honors Seal\n# Enlistment & Service Honors Seal","[{\"question\":\"What is the deadline to request course changes for the 2026-27 curriculum?\",\"answer\":\"May 22, 2026 is the final deadline for student and/or parent initiated requests for course changes.\"},{\"question\":\"How many subjects do students take per semester under the registration guidance?\",\"answer\":\"Students take seven (7) subjects per semester or six (6) subjects plus one Study Hall/Resource per semester.\"},{\"question\":\"What are the requirements to earn the Enrollment Honors Seal?\",\"answer\":\"Requirements include specific upper-level coursework in math and science, economics in social studies, a completed world language credit requirement, one of several AP/dual credit/testing pathways, and a cumulative GPA of 2.667+ with every semester grade of C or higher.\"}]","Curriculum Guide 2026-27 - A Course Selection Guide For Grade 9 - Grade 10 - Grade 11 - Grade 12 | PDF",1789896929,151]
