This research uses qualitative methods through literature study activities. The data source comes from the novel Gadis Pantai by Pramoedya Ananta Toer. The data collection technique used is reading and note-taking techniques. The results obtained in this study are (1) the language used in the novel Gadis Pantai by Pramoedya Ananta Toer; (2) the knowledge system in the novel Gadis Pantai by Pramoedya Ananta Toer; (3) the social system in the novel Gadis Pantai by Pramoedya Ananta Toer; (4) living equipment and technology systems in the novel Gadis Pantai by Pramoedya Ananta Toer; (5) the livelihood system in the novel Gadis Pantai by Pramoedya Ananta Toer; (6) the religious system in the novel Gadis Pantai by Pramoedya Ananta Toer; and (7) art in the novel Gadis Pantai by Pramoedya Ananta Toer.  \nKeywords: cultural values, gadis pantai novel, literary anthropology.  \nAbstrak  \nTujuan dalam penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan nilai budaya dalam novel Gadis Pantai karya Pramoedya Ananta Toer. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif melalui kegiatan studi pustaka. Sumber data berasal dari dalam novel Gadis Pantai karya Pramoedya Ananta Toer. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu teknik baca dan catat. Hasil yang diperoleh dalam penelitian ini ialah (1) bahasa yang digunakan dalam novel Gadis Pantai karya Pramoedya Ananta Toer; (2) sistem pengetahuan dalam novel Gadis Pantai karya Pramoedya Ananta Toer; (3) sistem kemasyarakatan dalam novel Gadis Pantai karya Pramoedya Ananta Toer; (4) sistemperalatan hidup dan teknologi dalam novel Gadis Pantai karya Pramoedya Ananta Toer;  \n(5) sistem mata pencaharian dalam novel Gadis Pantai karya Pramoedya Ananta Toer; (6) sistem religi dalam novel Gadis Pantai karya Pramoedya Ananta Toer; dan (7) keseniandalam novel Gadis Pantai karya Pramoedya Ananta Toer.  \nKata Kunci: nilai budaya, novel gadis pantai, antropologi sastra.  \nPENDAHULUAN  \nSastra adalah sebuah ungkapan ekspresi berdasarkan pengalaman, perasaan, ataupemikiran seseorang dalam bentuk karya. Menurut Wellek dan Warren (dalam (Widayat, 2006) pengertian sastra yang paling tepat diterapkan pada seni sastra, yakni sastra sebagaikarya imajinatif. Menurut (Tjahyadi, 2020) , sastra atau dalam bahasa Inggris disebut literature, merupakan sebuah nama yang disematkan pada hasil kerja kreatif manusiadengan menggunakan bahasa sebagai bahan penciptaannya. Sastra biasanya dituangkandalam bentuk karya atau disebut karya sastra. Karya sastra merupakanungkapan perasaan manusia yang bersifat pribadi yang berupa pemikiran, pengalaman, perasaan, ide, semangat, keyakinan dalam bentuk gambaran kehidupan yang dapat membangkitkan pesona dengan alat bahasa dan dilukiskan dalam bentuk tulisan (Lafamane, 2020) . Sedangkan menurut (Sukirman, 2021) karya sastra adalah cabang seni yang diciptakanberdasarkan ide, perasaan, dan pemikiran kreatif yang berkaitan unsur budaya yang diungkapkan melalui bahasa.
