It is based on the works of several RPG giants, mainly S. Petersen (Call of Cthulhu), G. Walmsley (Cthulhu Dark), A. M. Sturgill (Cthulhu Grey and Spiralis), L. Balsera (Fate Accelerated) and J. Hughes (Expanded Cthulhu Dark Character Sheet). Illustrations [from OpenClipart.org](from OpenClipart.org) and [Pixabay.com. Fonts](Pixabay.com. Fonts) [from 1001fonts.com. No](from 1001fonts.com. Thanks to Cristian M for suggested improvements found in this version. \nSOME TERMS \n• Investigator: The fictional character portrayed by the player, trying to unravel the mystery presented in the adventure. \n• Keeper: A member of the play group that prepares an adventure and portrays the world around the Investigators as the mystery is being uncovered. Some roleplaying games call this the GM (Game Master), DM (Dungeon Master) or Director. \n• Action (or Action Roll): A player describes the wanted outcome of an Investigator attempt and then rolls dice to meet the assessed Target Difficulty to succeed. The player resolves the outcome and roleplays accordingly. \n• Stat values: The well-being of Investigators is tracked using Stat values for Insanity and Harm. When maxed out, it is over. \nROLEPLAYING AS A TEAM \nThese are the things that you, as a play group, should aim to do at all times, both during Investigator creation and throughout play: \n• PLAY THE MOOD – The game is suited to a serious exploration of tension and cosmic terror. However, some play groups and Keepers will accept out-of-character jocularity, while others find that detracts from the grave tone of the gaming experience. Do your best to read the situation. Furthermore, all should ensure to help engage less vocal players, not only the Keeper. \n• SEEK THE MYSTERY – Your Investigator will pursue the mystery at high personal costs, and it is the player ‘s role to make that single-mindedness believable and compelling. This starts when creating your Investigator and should continue during play. \n• SHARE THE FICTION – PLAYERS – Your Investigator has a backstory. The Personality includes a specific set of Personality Traits. Use these as tools for roleplaying. What are the strengths of the Investigator? What are the weaknesses? Go out on a limb and act out how the Investigator would reason, not how you – The Player – want to handle the situation. What about the other Investigators involved in the storytelling? How can your Investigator interact with them to further develop the story? Perhaps an element of Bad Luck could add to the adventure during an Action roll? \n• SHARE THE FICTION – KEEPER – Let the play group create the Investigators together at the table (it doesn’t take long). Build relationships between Investigators and look for opportunities to support their goals or share the spotlight in a scene. During Investigator creation, note Name, Profession and Stat choices, but also other matters: Personality Traits, upbringing, looks, who in their family they love or loathe, etc. The Keeper should incorporate those matters into the fiction, sometimes just by using them, e.g. “You receive a letter from your sister”, or “Your brother has been kidnapped ” \nUSING YOUR DICE \nEach non-trivial challenge or Harmful event, e.g. trying to perform Magick or getting hit by a car, have a Target difficulty level that should be met by rolling dice (that may be modified). \nThe more dice used, the higher chance of success, but also at a higher risk, as explained below. \nEfforts within human capabilities include the Investigator Die. Increase chance by adding the Occupational Die if it is within their occupational expertise. In some cases these two dice may be modified with +1 each, which further increase the chance of success. \nHowever, if the ","cbCaish1IHhkC7xd","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCaish1IHhkC7xd","pdf",2993734,"English","# SOME TERMS\n## Investigator and Keeper roles\n## Action, stat values, and outcome resolution\n# ROLEPLAYING AS A TEAM\n## Play the mood\n## Seek the mystery\n## Share the fiction (players and Keeper)\n# USING YOUR DICE\n## Target difficulty and dice risk\n## Investigator/Occupational/Insanity or Harm dice\n# CREATING YOUR INVESTIGATOR\n## Name, personality traits, approaches, occupation\n## Stat maximums and tracking","[{\"question\":\"What are Investigators and what does a Keeper do?\",\"answer\":\"An Investigator is the fictional character portrayed by the player to unravel the adventure’s mystery.
