So, instead of an epilogue, I decided to turn this into a short novel that digs more into Amir’s aversion to the throne and why he’s so passive. He holds on to so much guilt for what he’sdone—excusing the dragon shifters for their crimes during the Great War and wiping out an entire bear shifter clan.  \nThen there’s Anora. I know I didn’t give her much of a backstory in their book, but there was a reason for that. And it’s explained here.  \nI also really wanted them to have a happy ending, but I had to figure out how it would even work. In my world, vampires are infertile—female vampires’ eggs are dead, and male vampires’sperm is just as lifeless. But thanks to Sam (Ash Clan) and his science, I finally found a way.  \nDon’t expect a ton of plot or a lot of depth in this story. That’s not the focus here. I just went with the flow and focused on giving Amir and Anora the ending they deserve.  \nSo quick side note for context—Carla shows up in Hazel’s book to help her deal with Amir 2.0 (a man-made creature Aya left behind before she died, who is basically impossible to kill) . And at the end of Hazel’s story, Anora also does something that proves she’s more powerful and far more dangerous than Aya Bailey ever was. That’s  \none of the reasons I wanted to release this book first—it answers a lot of questions before we dive into Hazel’s story.  \nThis is just Amir and Anora’s happy ending and the story of them taking over the Wintermoon throne. Along the way, they learn an important lesson: comparison is the thief of joy. They’ve spent so much time longing for what others have instead of appreciating what’s already in front of them.  \nOkay, that’s about it!
