Since the COVID-19 pandemic emerged in December 2019, numerous articles and headlines related to the outbreak have appeared on these platforms. Social media is often used to spread false information, and inaccurate content may mislead users, increase concern, and make the rapid spread of misinformation difficult to control. Therefore, developing a model to identify fake news in news streams is crucial. A dataset synthesized from COVID-19 related posts from multiple sources is used for categorization in this work, with features selected to reduce computational load.
