It assesses essential professional knowledge, skills and attitudes required for safe and effective Nursing or Midwifery practice in the UK. \n• Part A assesses your numeracy ability. This part contains 15 numeracy questions, which require you to provide 1 answer for each question. These questions may involve; measuring, metric units, oral medications, injections, IV’s, or fluid balances to name a few. This part of the test takes approximately 30 minutes. \n• Part B assesses your clinical ability. Here you will be provided with 100 multiple-choice questions, requiring 1 answer for each question. All questions are scored as correct or incorrect and there is no partial credit. This part of the test takes 2 hours 30 minutes to complete, and you must finish in this time. \nYour CBT can be taken at a Pearson VUE test centre available in most countries around the world. \nHow to prepare for the CBT \nThe Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) recommends reading the following articles to prepare for CBT: [https://www.nmc.org.uk/standards/guidance](https://www.nmc.org.uk/standards/guidance/)[/](https://www.nmc.org.uk/standards/guidance/) \nPlease note, Part B of the CBT is a multiple-choice questionnaire and there are 20 critical questions that must be answered accurately and passed at 90%, these are around patient and public safety, so we recommend you focus your revision on these. \nBlueprints and articles to read \nWe recommend you visit the NMC Website and find the blueprint of the test of competence. These can be found here. \nWe recommend you focus your attention on the essential questions marked ‘E’ (these are the critical areas) and next focus on the ‘Y’. It is also advised you focus on the first two columns of the blueprints. \nReview Centres \nYour agency will be able to advise you on review centres to use. \nHow to book your CBT \nThe NMC will issue you with an Authorisation to Test (ATT) via email after they have verified your qualification. \nYou will be required to pay £83 to book the test. \nYou will be able to choose the location of your nearest Pearson Vue test centre for your convenience. \nPlease try and book your CBT as soon as you can as your nearest test centre might experience delays. Please allow yourself four to six weeks to revise all the study material to give you the best chances to pass the CBT first time. \nMake sure you check your spam and junk email folders at it is possible that candidate correspondence from Pearson ","cbCaio0bwx4oKgFA","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCaio0bwx4oKgFA","pdf",170385,"English","# What is the Computer Based Test (CBT)?\n## How to prepare for the CBT\n## Blueprints and articles to read\n## Review Centres\n## How to book your CBT\n## Selecting the right exam and modules\n## When will I receive my results?\n## When can I re-take the CBT?\n## After passing the CBT","[{\"question\":\"What are Part A and Part B of the CBT?\",\"answer\":\"The CBT has two parts: Part A assesses numeracy using 15 questions in about 30 minutes, and Part B assesses clinical ability using 100 multiple-choice questions in about 2 hours 30 minutes.\"},{\"question\":\"How should candidates prepare, especially for Part B?\",\"answer\":\"Candidates are advised to review NMC guidance and focus revision on the essential critical questions (marked ‘E’), then the ‘Y’ items, and the first two columns of the blueprints.\"},{\"question\":\"How do candidates book the CBT and what is the fee?\",\"answer\":\"After qualification verification, candidates receive an Authorisation to Test (ATT) by email.
