Title of Invention\n\nComposite Fiber \nClaim \n# 2.\n\nIn the case of composite fiber of eccentric core-sheath or side-by-sidetype along the whole length of fiber comprising poly--capramide and elasticpolymer,an improved crimpable composite fiber characterized by the elasticpolymer being a block polyether ester copolymer comprising the polyester \ncomponent of 90-55 wt%of polytetramethylene terephthalate and 10-45 wt%ofpolytetramethylene isophthalate and glycol component of poly(tetramethyleneoxide)glycol of molecular weight in the range of 400-4,000,and the weightratio of the polyester component to the polyether component being in the rangeof 85-30:15-70. \n# 3. Detailed Description of the Invention\n\nThis invention pertains to a composite fiber comprising poly--capramideand block copolyester ether type elastic polymer. \nThe composite fiber consisting two components having different contraction,in which the two components are combined eccentrically at the filament's lateralcross section has latent crimpability, and it is known to form spiral crimp bythe heat treatment.Especially, polyamide type composite fibers compared withpolyester type composite fibers have many advantages such as soft touch feeling, easy dyeing to obtain brilliant color, etc. \nPreviously,as a such composite fiber having latent crimpability, thecomposite fiber comprising homopolyamide as one component and copolymericpolyamide as the other component has been proposed. In the case of such \ncomposite fiber of homopolyamide and copolymeric polyamide, the copolymer is thecomponent which is involved with the load generated by the crimple formed(called load bearing polymer, below),thus,as a result of repeated stretchingand contraction, plastic deformation of the copolymer occurs, and as a result, the state of completely stretched crimp, that is,so-called \"exhausted crimp\"isformed. \nIn order to eliminate this phenomenon,N-substituted polyamide, blockpolyesteramide, polyurethane and other elastic polymers have been proposed as aload bearing polymer. In the composite fibers in which N-substituted polyamide, block polyetheramide or block polyesteramide was used as one component, thestrength was reduced significantly after the wet heat treatment was carried out,and the touch feeling was hard and coarse. As a result, their application andprocessing conditions were extremely limited.Furthermore,if the component usedwas polyurethane,it was difficult to carry out spinning since the thermalstability of polyurethane was poor. \nIn order to solve those various problems of the previous technologysimultaneously, the authors of the current invention carried out variousstudies,as a result;they found that a specific polyether ester type polymershowed elasticity, its thermal stability at the time of fusion was excellent, and its physical properties were reduced little","cbCaivjjOSYzEjXA","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCaivjjOSYzEjXA","pdf",913671,24,"English","# 1.
