Each of the samples exhibits at least the level of quality required to meet the Writing standards for that grade. \nThe range of accomplishment within each grade refects diferences in individual development as well as in the conditions under which the student writers were expected to work. Some of the samples were written in class or as homework; others were written for on-demand assessments; still others were the result of sustained research projects. Where possible, each sample includes information about the circumstances under which it was produced. The samples come from students in kindergarten through grade 12. The students attended school in a number of states and districts across the country. \nAt the lower grades, the samples include “opinion” writing, an elementary type of argument in which students give reasons for their opinions and preferences. Because reasons are required, such writing helps prepare students for drafting the arguments they will be expected to create beginning in grade 6. \nacknowledgment \nThe Standards work group would like to express its appreciation to teachers and students at Monte Vista High School in California and the Randolph Technical Career Center in Vermont; other colleagues in California, Massachusetts, and Washington state; and ACT, Inc., and the Concord Review, who helped fnd and obtain permission for several of the samples included in the set. The group also would like to express its appreciation to the New Standards Project and to the International Reading Association, which allowed the use of several samples from their publications, and to the other student writers who granted permission to reproduce their work here. \nCommon Core State StandardS for engliSh language artS & literaCy in hiStory/SoCial StudieS, SCienCe, and teChniCal SubjeCtS \ntable of contents \nStudent Sample: K, Argument (Opinion) \n“My fabit Book is do you Want to be my FRIEND” \nStudent Sample: K, Informative/Explanatory \n“Frags (Frogs)” \nStudent Sample: K, Narrative \n“I Went to Disnand” \nStudent Sample: Grade 1, Informative/Explanatory \n“My Big Book About Spain” \nStudent Sample: Grade 1, Narrative \n“I bot a little cotton ball” \nStudent Sample: Grade 2, Argument (Opinion) \n“Owl Moon” \nStudent Sample: Grade 2, Narrative \n“My frst tooth is gone” \nStudent Sample: Grade 3, Informative/Explanatory \n“Horses” \nStudent Sample: Grade 3, Narrative \n“When my Puppys Ranaway” \nStudent Sample: Grade 4, Argument (Opinion) \n“Zoo Field Trip” \nStudent Sample: Grade 4, Narrative \n“Glowing Shoes” \nStudent Sample: Grade 5, Informative/Explanatory \n“Author Response: Roald Dahl” \nStudent Sample: Grade 5, Narrative \n“Getting Shot and Living Through It” \nStudent Sample: Grade 6, Argument \n“Dear Mr. Sandler” \nStudent Sample: Grade 6, Argument \n“A Pet Story About My Cat Gus” \nStudent Sample: Grade 7, Argument \n“Video Cameras in Classrooms” \nStudent Sample: Grade 7, Informative/Explanatory \n“A Geographical Report” \nStudent Sample: Grade 8, Informative/Explanatory \n“Football” \nStudent Sample: Grade 8, Informative/Explanatory \n“The Old Man and the Sea” \nStudent Sample: Grade 8, Narrative \n“Miss Sadie” \n6 \n7 \n9 \n11 \n13 \n15 \n17 \n18 \n22 \n25 \n27 \n29 \n31 \n36 \n38 \n40 \n42 \n47 \n49 \n52 \nCommon Core State StandardS for engliSh language artS & literaCy in hiStory/SoCial StudieS, SCienCe, and teChniCal SubjeCtS \nStudent Sample: Grade 9, Ar","cbCaismwpifuRzWw","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCaismwpifuRzWw","pdf",23964871,107,"English","# Student Sample: K, Argument (Opinion)\n## “My fabit Book is do you Want to be my FRIEND”\n# Student Sample: K, Informative/Explanatory\n## “Frags (Frogs)”\n# Student Sample: K, Narrative\n## “I Went to Disnand”\n# Student Sample: Grade 1, Informative/Explanatory\n## “My Big Book About Spain”\n# Student Sample: Grade 1, Narrative\n## “I bot a little cotton ball”\n# Student Sample: Grade 2, Argument (Opinion)\n## “Owl Moon”\n# Student Sample: Grade 2, Narrative\n## “My frst tooth is gone”\n# Student Sample: Grade 3, Informative/Explanatory\n## “Horses”\n# Student Sample: Grade 3, Narrative\n## “When my Puppys Ranaway”\n# Student Sample: Grade 4, Argument (Opinion)\n## “Zoo Field Trip”\n# Student Sample: Grade 4, Narrative\n## “Glowing Shoes”\n# Student Sample: Grade 5, Informative/Explanatory\n## “Author Response: Roald Dahl”\n# Student Sample: Grade 5, Narrative\n## “Getting Shot and Living Through It”\n# Student Sample: Grade 6, Argument\n## “Dear Mr. Sandler”\n## “A Pet Story About My Cat Gus”\n# Student Sample: Grade 7, Argument\n## “Video Cameras in Classrooms”\n# Student Sample: Grade 7, Informative/Explanatory\n## “A Geographical Report”\n# Student Sample: Grade 8, Informative/Explanatory\n## “Football”\n# Student Sample: Grade 8, Narrative\n## “Miss Sadie”\n# Student Sample: Grade 9, Argument\n## “The True Meaning of Friendship”\n# Student Sample: Grade 9, Informative/Explanatory\n## “Lives on Mango, Rides the Whale”\n## “Untitled essay on civil disobedience in India”\n# Student Sample: Grade 10, Argument\n## “School Bond Levy”\n# Student Sample: Grade 10, Informative/Explanatory\n## “Animal Farm”\n# Student Sample: Grade 11, Informative/Explanatory\n## “Marching to His Own Beat”\n## “Summary of Key Points”\n# Student Sample: Grade 12, Argument\n## “Untitled essay on dress codes”\n## “Freedom From Structure”\n# Student Sample: Grade 12, Informative/Explanatory\n## “In the Wake of the Spanish Lady: American Economic Resilience in the Aftermath of the Infuenza Epidemic of 1918”\n## “Fact vs. Fiction and All the Grey Space in Between”\n## “The Making of a Human Voice and How to Use It”\n## “Wood Joints”\n## “TIG/GTAW Welding”\n# Permissions","[{\"question\":\"这份附录包含哪些类型的学生写作样本？ \"}]","Common Core State Standards for English Language Arts & Literacy in History/Social Studies, Science, and Technical Subjects - Appendix C: Samples of Student Writing | PDF",270]
