You will have frequent, loose bowel movements. \n If you feel sick, wait 20-30 minutes, then continue to drink. If you feel nauseous, it is ok to take 25-50 mg of Gravol. Keep in mind that Gravol may make you drowsy. \nDay of colonoscopy: \n Do not eat solid foods or drink alcohol. \n You may continue to drink clear fluids, stopping 3 hours before the colonoscopy. \nIf you have any questions about your procedure or your bowel preparation, please call the facility performing your colonoscopy, the office of the doctor performing the procedure, or ColonCheck at 1-855-952-4235. \n1-855-952-4235 cancercare.mb.ca/coloncheck \nC-SH-BOWEL-PREP-TIPS-E 2024.05","cbCaiv6d7scx7f2T","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCaiv6d7scx7f2T","pdf",96661,"English","# Week before your colonoscopy\n## Diet and medication precautions\n## Arrange transportation\n# Day before your colonoscopy\n## Clear liquid options\n## Avoid solid foods and alcohol\n## When your colon is ready\n# Helpful tips\n## Timing, temperature, and hydration\n## Nausea management\n# Day of colonoscopy\n## What to stop and what to continue\n## Contact information","[{\"question\":\"Why is bowel preparation important for a successful colonoscopy?\",\"answer\":\"Bowel preparation empties the colon so the clinician can better see any abnormal tissue.
