Directors acknowledged the Bank’s support for Colombia as the country faces unprecedented challenges brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic. Directors noted the regional dimension to crisis response and embraced the innovative approach to migration and commended the focus on gender. They expressed strong support for the operation, recognizing that it will help Colombia implement its migration policy framework and enhance the social and economic integration of all migrants in Colombia, including Venezuelans. They supported the focus on policies that will enable Colombia to expand from short-term urgent responses to a longer-term framework for integration, noting the contribution of migrants to boost economic growth.  \nDirectors recognized that the operation is aligned with the Colombia Country Partnership Framework and World Bank Group strategies, including the FCV strategy.
