The class emphasizes empathy as a core talent, explored through insight, influence, and emotion-driven magic. points, and expanding Enchantment casting to multiple targets with lingering disadvantages for of The Empath \nIntroduction : Most well known bards make a name for themselves through music and song or by telling epic tales of heroic deed, but there are some few who find themselves within the art of empathy. Bards who study at the College of The Empath learn how to develop better relationships, get to the root of issues, and win people's trust and confidence. While the the world seems to fall into darkness around them, a College of the Empathic bard can help shine some light into the \nshadows. \nA subclass for bards to be used in conjunction with the rules for Bards in the Players Handbook \nBy Joseph Timmis \nSpecial Thanks: \nLydia Timmis for her love and support and encouragement to find myself in the darkness. Alex and Kristen Williams for supporting my nerdy passions and pushing me to do more. Tenoch for his incredible support and feedback on balance and mechanics. Nick Riddle for all the late night chats and creative fuel. Dave and Lauren Brink for their continued love and support for all my crazy ideas. And to the TTRPG community for which non of this would ever have come about with out the love and support of all you \nbeautiful total strangers. \nDUNGEONS & DRAGONS, D&D, Wizards of the Coast, Forgotten Realms, the dragon ampersand, Player’s Handbook, Monster Manual, Dungeon Master’s Guide, D&D Adventurers League, all other Wizards of the Coast product names, and their respective logos are trademarks of Wizards of the Coast in the USA and other countries. While they may be able to sing, or play instruments, or charm a person with their natural charisma, that is not the focus of study of the College of The Empath. Rather, an Empath Bard will use their skills and talents to unlock the mysteries of the heart and use it as a radical force for social transformation. \nThe magic they wield is potent. The stories they tell, the songs they sing, the music they play, are all those that inspire strong feelings, and invoke powerful emotions. Because their talents are so powerful Empathetic Bards are either deeply loved or strongly hated, finding balance between them is often difficult. \nThe Bards of the College of The Empathetic are students of emotion, obsessed with knowing and understanding the feelings, thoughts, motivations, and philosophies of others. From this devotion they weave stories, songs and even magic. The most powerful are even said to have been able to stabilize regions of war and broker peace among nations harboring centuries of turmoil… \n| Starting at 3rd level, you have studied the art of empathy and your dedication has given you a unique understanding when it comes to behavior and intent.\u003Cbr>When you roll an insight check, The DC to gain information from your target is lowered by 5.\u003Cbr>Additionally, Choose a single type of creature.
