2022-2023 academic year. The data for this year show that more than 80,000 students participated in College Credit Plus. Ohio’s dual enrollment program has provided tuition savings for students and families of over $193 \nacademic year, the department responsibilities were divided between the newly established Department of Education and Workforce and the State Board of Education. The language in this annual report will reflect the governing agency at the time henceforth. \nmillion for the 2022-2023 academic year and over $1 billion over the eight years of the program. (See page 29 for additional information on tuition savings.) \nThis eighth annual report reflects the requirements of Ohio Revised Code section 3365 . 15, in which the Chancellor of the Ohio Department of Higher \nDuring the 2022-2023 academic year, more than 80,000 Ohio students participated in College Credit Plus. \nODHE and ODE focused on several key initiatives with College Credit Plus. These include access for underrepresented students, implementing recommendations from the Auditor of State, and developing resources for students, secondary school districts, and institutions of higher education. We will review these initiatives briefly before presenting this year’s data. \nEducation (ODHE) and Department of Education and Workforce (ODEW) share \nthe data for the College Credit Plus program from the previous year. While statute requires this practice through December 2023, the departments intend to continue releasing the robust annual report. All annual reports are available on the College [Credit Plus pages of the ODHE website at](Credit Plus pages of the ODHE website at highered.ohio.gov/)[ ](Credit Plus pages of the ODHE website at highered.ohio.gov/)[highered.ohio.gov/](Credit Plus pages of the ODHE website at highered.ohio.gov/)[ ](Credit Plus pages of the ODHE website at highered.ohio.gov/)CCP. \nThe 2022-2023 academic year was the final year that the Department of Education (ODE) existed under the operation of the State Board of Education. In the fall of the 2023-2024 \nSince the program started in 2015, the data show that underrepresented \nstudents, such as students of color and students from economically disadvantaged families, are not participating in the program at a rate comparable to their White and noneconomically disadvantaged peers. Efforts to identify the barriers for those students have been under way since the fall of 2020, when both agencies convened a Student Eligibility workgroup. The workgroup was tasked with examining the student eligibility requirements as they relate to the ongoing diversity gap in the program. Through the group’s dedicated work and the inclusion of a proposed revision for student \n3 \nThe Ohio Department of Higher Education has done a thorough re-evaluation of College Credit Plus data . \nDespite a shift in the total enrollment each year, the program has grown at a steady pace. \n4 \nPARTICIPATION \nOverall enrollment by year \nIn preparing the 2022-2023 annual report, ODHE conducted a thorough re-evaluation of data and reporting while working with a consulting organization to build an interactive CCP Data Dashboard. This review of reporting practices revealed the need to make several minor updates to previously reported data. The affected numbers of student enrollment have been amended in this section of the report. Despite a shift in the total enrollment each year, the program has grown at a steady pace, as shown in Figure 1. \nFIGURE 1 \nTotal College Credit Plus Enrollment \n 53,273 67,065 \n69,220 \n70,803 \n75,134 \n74,706 \n76,157 \n80,163 \n2016 2","cbCaiu5E4cemQe7z","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCaiu5E4cemQe7z","pdf",6143100,36,"English","# Introduction\n# Participation\n## Overall enrollment by year\n## Enrollment by grade level\n## Enrollment by gender\n## Enrollment by race\n# Performance\n# Appendices","[{\"question\":\"What period of data does the annual report cover?\",\"answer\":\"The report covers College Credit Plus data from the beginning of the program in 2015-2016 through the 2022-2023 academic year.\"},{\"question\":\"How many students participated in 2022-2023?\",\"answer\":\"The report states that more than 80,000 Ohio students participated in College Credit Plus during the 2022-2023 academic year.\"},{\"question\":\"What tuition savings does the report cite?\",\"answer\":\"It reports tuition savings of over $193 million for 2022-2023 and over $1 billion across the eight years of the program, with additional details referenced in the report.\"}]","College Credit Plus (CCP) Annual Report 2022-2023 | PDF",1792060859,91]
