This means that if exams are cancelled at short notice, centres will not need to do any extra work to prepare a portfolio. \nIn summary: \n• Centres select a portfolio of evidence for each candidate in each syllabus, made up of three substantial pieces of evidence completed at any time during the course of study. \n• Centres will not be required to mark or grade the portfolio of evidence. \n• Centres submit the portfolio digitally to us through Submit for Assessment. \n• Cambridge examiners mark the work submitted by the centre. \n• We use our examiners’ marks to calculate a final grade for each candidate for each syllabus they are entered for. \nPreparing the portfolio of evidence \nQuantity of evidence \nCentres should prepare a portfolio of three substantial pieces of work for each candidate in each syllabus. \nFor most qualifications, candidates will submit one portfolio of evidence with a total of three substantial pieces of work. \nBy ‘substantial’, we mean a piece of work that has taken the candidate at least one hour of concentrated work to complete. This means a grade produced using a portfolio of evidence will be based on a roughly similar amount of work to the amount used to determine an exam grade. \nIf your lessons run for less than one hour, it is acceptable to split a one-hour task over two lessons. However, you cannot combine two tasks that are different and shorter to make one substantial piece of evidence. \nThere are two exceptions to our rule that no candidate should have more than, or fewer than, three pieces of work for each portfolio of evidence. These exceptions are for the following syllabuses: \n• Cambr","cbCaiiR522h0R5fO","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCaiiR522h0R5fO","pdf",398306,"English","# Introduction\n# Preparing the portfolio of evidence\n## Quantity of evidence\n## Cambridge International A Level candidates\n## Types of evidence\n## Evidence and levels of difficulty\n## Use of early question papers or pre-release materials\n## Using coursework as evidence\n## Evidence for new or revised syllabuses\n## Speaking test evidence\n## Using marked work as evidence\n## Format of candidates’ work\n## Access arrangements\n## Sending us the tasks used\n## Coverage of syllabus content and assessment objectives\n## Core and Extended syllabus content\n## Syllabuses with endorsed components\n## Carry forward components\n## When to collect the evidence\n## Keeping copies of the work\n## Security and authentication\n## Teacher supervision\n## Remote teacher supervision\n## Use of past papers and specimen papers\n## Selecting the pieces of evidence for each candidate\n## Special consideration\n## Candidates with a previous portfolio result\n## Informing the candidate of the pieces of evidence chosen\n## Private candidates\n## The Rationale Document\n## How the portfolio will be marked\n## Evidence will be equally weighted\n## Forecast grades\n## Cambridge concerns about your choice of evidence\n# Appendix A – Collecting evidence: general advice\n# Appendix B – Collecting evidence: syllabus-specific advice","[{\"question\":\"What is the minimum quantity of evidence centres must prepare per candidate and syllabus?\",\"answer\":\"Centres must prepare a portfolio made up of three substantial pieces of evidence for each candidate in each syllabus.
