Explain that you will be identifying key elements of the plot. Ask students to work together to brainstorm the most important parts of this story. Write down what students say on sticky notes. Place them on a big piece of chart paper in sequential order with the action rising then falling. Include terms like introduction, rising action, conflict, resolution, etc. Model using the ozo color codes to determine a code that symbolizes the emotions that a character might be facing at that point in the story, i.e. tornado move if a character is super angry because someone stole his lunch and is about to explode! Model labeling the codes first, then going back in to connect them all in a plot diagram then testing the code, revising the code and adding in additional details like a costume, scenery, props, music, etc.\u003Cbr>|\n| --- | --- |\n| \u003Cbr>Supplements\u003Cbr> Lesson Closure\u003Cbr>Ask each team to present their final plot diagram to the class or take a gallery walk around the room. Students can narrate the Ozobot character's journey through the plot and explain the symbolism of the color codes they chose for each element.\u003Cbr> Lesson Extension(s)\u003Cbr>1 Test design with the Ozobot along your plot diagram. Observe the test run and watch for “bugs” in the code”Discuss observations, recommend changes and design solutions with your team. Use address labels to cover up any “bugs” in the code. Make the changes on top of the address labels with your markers. Retest the code.\u003Cbr>| |\n\n Academic Standards \n Other: SC-2. RI. MC .
