COMMUNITY](EXCELLENCE | INTEGRITY | CURIOSITY | COMMUNITY) \nRationale and Welcome \nThe purpose of the handbook is to inform students and their families of the policies at Coburg High School and the requirements for the successful completion of the Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE) . This document sets out the policy framework to create an environment where students can excel in their final years of secondary school. Our school prides itself on the values of Excellence, Integrity, Curiosity and Community. These values form the basis for all our interactions at Coburg High School and also underpin the following document. \nCoburg High School has clear requirements for the satisfactory completion of the VCE which are supported by the Victorian Curriculum Assessment Authority (VCAA) , the governing body responsible for the development, maintenance and implementation of the VCE. This policy is derived from the VCE Administrative Handbook, an official publication of VCAA which contains further resources for VCE students. \nCoburg High School is fully accredited to deliver the VCE. The Principal as well as the Senior School Student Support Team are responsible for ensuring that all the requirements of VCAA are carried out and that students are given a thorough understanding of the program and adequate support to effectively manage their studies. To this end, all VCE students are given a copy (electronic) of the Policy Handbook to ensure that they have access to the correct information and processes regarding their senior school studies. \nStudents enrolled at Coburg High School must abide by the administrative guidelines and regulations of the VCE and also the Senior Student Agreement. \nAll issues regarding the VCE will be managed using the VCAA and Coburg High School Policies. The Principal of Coburg High School has the final interpretation of all school policies and executive decision making power. \nThe VCE is a rigorous course that requires determination and personal effort to succeed. The VCE provides an excellent foundation for future tertiary study and employment as students graduate from secondary school. Coburg High School commits to supporting students, and the following policies have been set in place to preserve the integrity of the course and provide a fair and consistent structure for students to achieve their best. \nCoburg High School VCE Policy and Handbook \nCOBURG HIGH SCHOOL \n101 Urquhart Street, Coburg VIC 3058 \nP: (03) 9353 1700 | F: (03) 9354 0930 [www.coburg.vic.edu.au| coburg.hs@edumail.vic.gov.au](www.coburg.vic.edu.au| coburg.hs@edumail.vic.gov.au) \n[EXCELLENCE | INTEGRITY | CURIOSITY | COMMUNITY](EXCELLENCE | INTEGRITY | CURIOSITY | COMMUNITY) \nCoburg High School Contents \nName of Section Subsection Page \n1.
