(Prometric) to develop and administer CMTO’s Multiple-Choice Question (MCQ) and Objectively Structured Clinical Evaluation (OSCE) Certification Examinations as of January 1, 2021. \nThe move to a third party for examination development and administration is an important step that allows CMTO to maintain control over content and candidate eligibility requirements while removing any perceived conflict of interest that can arise when a regulator develops and administers registration examinations. \nWhat does this mean for the exams in 2020? \nFor the 2020 exam year, the examinations will continue to be developed and administered by CMTO: \n• The OSCE will be delivered from May to December at CMTO’s offices in Toronto. \n• The MCQ will continue to be offered in four administration windows each year, however it will no longer be offered at the Grand Hotel in Toronto. Instead, it will be offered at a number of Prometric test centres in Ontario, providing greater access to examination candidates. \nThe examinations will be based on the Inter-jurisdictional Practice Competencies and Performance Indicators for Massage Therapists at Entry-to-Practice. \nThe MCQ and OSCE fees charged by CMTO are unchanged for 2020. \nWhat does this mean for the exams in 2021 and beyond? \nThe examinations will continue to be based on the Inter-jurisdictional Practice Competencies and Performance Indicators for Massage Therapists at Entry-toPractice. A comprehensive transition plan is already underway to ensure a smooth transition before the 2021 cutover date. \nIn 2021, the fees charged by Prometric will be $615.00 for the MCQ and $865.00 for the OSCE. \nIf you have any questions, please contact Valerie Browne, Director, Registration Services at [registration@cmto.com](registration@cmto.com) or by phone at 416.489.2626/1-800-465-1933 ext. 4117.","cbCaiqZr6so59TrX","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCaiqZr6so59TrX","pdf",72181,"English","# Examination Development and Administration Agreement\n## Impact on the 2020 Exam Year\n## Exam Basis and Fees\n## Impact on 2021 and Beyond\n## Transition and Contact Information","[{\"question\":\"When does the agreement take effect for exam development and administration?\",\"answer\":\"The agreement takes effect as of January 1, 2021 for MCQ and OSCE certification examinations.\"},{\"question\":\"How will the 2020 OSCE and MCQ delivery locations change?\",\"answer\":\"For 2020, the OSCE will be delivered from May to December at CMTO offices in Toronto, while the MCQ will be offered in Prometric test centres across Ontario instead of the Grand Hotel in Toronto.\"},{\"question\":\"What changes for candidates’ fees in 2021 compared with 2020?\",\"answer\":\"MCQ and OSCE fees charged by CMTO are unchanged for 2020.
