The list is incomplete , but covers the essential needs. \nThis guide is used not only in programmes supported by Médecins Sans Frontières, but also in other programmes and in other contexts. It is notably an integral part of the WHO Emergency Health Kit . \nMédecins Sans Frontières has also issued French, Spanish and Arabic editions. Editions in other languages have also been produced in the field. \nThis guide is a collaborative effort of medical professionals from many disciplines, all with field experience. \nDespite all efforts, it is possible that certain errors may have been overlooked in this guide. Please inform the authors of any errors detected. It is important to remember, that if in doubt , it is the responsibility of the prescribing medical professional to ensure that the doses indicated in this manual conform to the manufacturer ’s specifications. \nTo ensure that this guide continues to evolve while remaining adapted to field realities, please send any comments or suggestions. \nAs treatment protocols are regularly revised, please check the monthly updates. \nAbbreviations and acronyms \nLast update: October 2023 \n\n| ACE | angiotensin converting enzyme |\n| --- | --- |\n| ACT | artemisinin-based combination therapy |\n| AFB | acid-fast bacillus |\n| ALT | alanine aminotransferase |\n| ARV | antiretroviral |\n| AST | aspartate aminotransferase |\n| BCG | bacillus Calmette-Guérin |\n| BMI | body mass index |\n| BP | blood pressure |\n| °C | degree Celsius |\n| co-amoxiclav | amoxicillin + clavulanic aci","cbCaimOX8de8zVos","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCaimOX8de8zVos","pdf",6751876,409,"English","# Table of contents\n## Authors/Contributors\n## Preface\n## Abbreviations and acronyms\n## Chapter 1: A few symptoms and syndromes\n### Shock\n### Generalised tonic-clonic seizures and convulsive status epilepticus\n### Hypoglycaemia\n### Fever\n### Pain\n### Anaemia\n### Dehydration\n### Severe acute malnutrition","[{\"question\":\"Who is this clinical guide intended for?\",\"answer\":\"It is designed for medical professionals involved in curative care at dispensary and primary hospital level.\"},{\"question\":\"What scope does this edition cover?\",\"answer\":\"It addresses curative aspects, and to a lesser extent preventive aspects, of the main diseases encountered in the field, with an essential but incomplete list.\"},{\"question\":\"What should prescribing medical professionals do regarding doses?\",\"answer\":\"If there is any doubt, it is the responsibility of the prescribing medical professional to ensure doses conform to the manufacturer’s specifications.\"}]","Clinical guidelines-Diagnosis and treatment manual - Guidance for prescribing | PDF",1031]
